My shop air compressor conked out today. I've had it for some 20yrs and abused it plenty. With very little time to see what was wrong, I elected to buy a larger one that was much over due.
The old one is in the way and I need to get rid of it for the space. The pressure switch/motor contactor has fried contacts and needs repaired or replaced, otherwise it has a good 3hp motor, compressor and tank....the standard Sears Craftsman home shop type compressor.
It is free to the first pick-up truck that backs up to the door to haul it away. I simply don't have the time or energy to try to sell it on Ebay...or what-ever I just need the space. It needs a good cleaning and some TLC to tighten up fittings and such. It will need to be rewired as well. However, it is in great working order and I think that she'll provide years of service to the guy that repairs her.
Please help me!
Sincerely,
Rob
