I work for a manufacturing company running a large plasma machine. The other day we cut a sheet of 1/2" T1. I saved the 'skeleton' as I know someone who does forge work would enjoy having the scrap.

I am located between Granbury and Stephenville Texas. Contact me by PM if you would like this chunk of steel. I just couldn't see it thrown in with all of the A36 and hauled off as 'scrap'.

Mr. Russell, It's one of the first ( 1910) tungsten ( 18%) high speed steels. It's expensive, and it even weighs more than most steels due to the high amount of Tungsten. Contains no cobalt.

I don't know how easily it would move forging. I've never talked to anybody who tried.

A. G., Please.

I think that anyone who tries to forge it will learn a lot.
