Freek Gen1 vs Gen2

Any opinions in if you prefer the Benchmade Freek Gen2 vs Gen1 or vice versa? I can get the Gen1 pretty cheap, but is it worth spending more for the Gen2 in your opinion? It seems there are just subtle differences and a different steel used, but that's it.

If you are referring to the 560BK-1 vs the standard 560 there is a big difference in materials. The 560BK-1 (Super Freek) has CPM-M4 blade steel and layered G10 handles instead of CPM-S30V steel and plastic molded handles, both pretty significant upgrades.

The 560BK-1 is worth every penny of the difference in price over the 1st generation. I looked at both but I'm very glad that I went for Gen2.

Decided to go pick up the Gen2 today. Can get it for $175 out the door.

Well, went to buy it for $175 OTD and they can't find the box or paperwork for it. Still worth it???

It's a major retailer. They have about 6 Benchmades in stock. All have the boxes but this one.

I've never been a huge fan of purchasing any "demo" items but I'd feel a bit better about getting a genuine Benchmade from a solid business.

Definitely grab the 560BK-1 I noticed today it is no longer on benchmades website?? I have one and it’s in my constant edc rotation.
