I just picked up this knife and don't know much about it. I know it is made by Ralph Freer, does anyone know what model it is? And its value?

Thanks kevin! Am I allowed to ask the model or name of the knife? I'm not looking to sell the knife, I just don't know anything about it.

Google is your friend. Quite a bit about Ralph, but not a lot on knife models and names etc. Ralph died of a heart attack in 2008 according to one of the Google hits.

Yes that's all I've been able to find too. I appreciate your insight, I guess this is finally a mystery that even bladeforums can't answer

Oh Jeez.....

IIRC, Ralph didn't give his models names......it was probably just called double ground fighter, or something like that.

The steel is likely ATS-34. The mokume gane on the bolster is likely Devin Thomas and the wood looks like Arizona Desert Ironwood to me...no idea when it was made, and value is likely whatever you can sell it for. The finish on the blade looks "scuffy"....and that causes a major hit on value....also, the tip doesn't look that pointy.

No idea when it was made, but based upon the composite pins, I'd guess between late 90's and up.

It's a good looking knife....Ralph was a good maker, he had talent.
