I've been looking at these two leathermans. I'd like to carry it as basically a backup blade and to complement my keychain sak. Which would you recommend? Is the carabiner on the skeletool annoying?

Thanks!

the Skeletool has the Bit driver and the Carabiner/Bottle opener

the freestyle dont

Need i say more?

and teh carabineer is actually very easy to use and secure

Skeletool by a landslide. If LM had done what they were GOING to do and offer a budget priced Skeletool with a fixed philip/flat driver instead of replaceable bits, the Freestyle would have been an awesome "beater" or work tool.

As it stands, I have NEVER been in a situation where all I have ever needed was a knife and a pair of pliers. It seems like a weird combo. You get the girth of a multi-tool with about half the function....plus the bottle opener on the skele rocks:p:thumbup:
