Recently I purchased a Perceval L08 in France.
Before this, I had watched a review on Youtube by Stefan Schmalhaus, a European gent's knife guy.
To be honest, sometimes I find his comments on the art style and finish of European knives are just exaggerating. And here I share his review on a blackwood Perceval L08 ,so you can compare his well-made review with my poorly-written one.

Here are a few fotos of my snakewood Perceval L08.
You can notice the snakewood scales are highly poished and no gap between liners and scales at all
The knife is light and grips very comfortable ,thanks to the the thin pieces of Sandvik 19C27 steel and the shape of handle.
According to the manufacture(Perceval), the hardness of the blade is only about 57 HRC, however, the price is about the same of a Spyderco C156 flipper in USA!
The blade is thin and a bit flexible, which makes is a professional slicer ,and the grinding is similar to an Opinel .At the spine of the blade, the thickness is only around 2mm. I bet you can hardly see the edge of this knife, because the edge is so fine, it is razor sharp when come out of box,literally...I managed to use it for shaving beard!
The linerlock is sufficient for slicing jobs. but it won't prevent accidental opening,so a sheath is required for safe carrying.
Overall the finishing is really impressive, especially on the wooden handle.
