I'm late to the Subcom party and kicking myself for it, but happy to be in on it all the same thanks to the little box that arrived yesterday. Great knife. Excellent design and execution, excellent value as well. Only took me about 2 minutes handling this one to decide I would need to order a Wharcom as well. If Chad and/or Boker are reading this, I'm giving you guys a thumbs up much bigger than this one ( ) for the Subcom. Couldn't be more pleased with it. A few pics below, shown with an Al Mar Hawk and a Benchmade 310 for comparison.

congrats on the Subcom F jujigatame....
If u like the "Biscuit" , I'd recommend that u check out CLB's Trance, and Subcom Fixed .....

Mahalo jujigatame! (and knifebro jaislandboy!!!)

Thanks for your kind words. Great pics, and love them Al Mar Knives...
Mahalo for your support, and I highly recommend the Trance next.;)

God bless and don't get caught in your forum name!

Thanks Chad. I just ordered my Wharcom last night and the Trance is certainly on the list for the future.

As for an armbar, I'm not out there rolling, just a fan of the art. You're right though, definitely wouldn't want to be caught in that hook. I prefer that my elbow stays properly located. ;)

No, thank YOU jujigatame. The "WF" is still one of my faves. I always had a "thing" for straight edged blades.

Armbar. I once was involved in breaking up a fight, right as I was about to grab one of the inmates fighting, I got caught in "friendly fire". One of my co-workers nails me in the back to take me AND the inmate down. Anyway, I ended up in the perfect position to apply the armbar on the inmate, but caught myself and aborted the hold since we "cannot use what we were not taught by the department.":grumpy: Of course, one of my LT.'s heard about it, and yes, I got scolded.:p

Well, take care and stay "tight".
God bless and mahalo much:cool:

In a potentially imminent jeopardy situtation, even though it doesn't fit into the denfensive tactics (AIKIDO) we're taught, virtually anything goes. I just love forced cell entry dog piles. Sorry you were "scolded". I've been in the field for the past seven years (UC, etc).

Thanks for an awesome design. I own the camo subcom F. The Trance is on the list, but I haven't found it here locally. I asked the knife shop to special order it, no luck. I'll just keep sending out the positive vibes and it will come to me.
Thanks again Daywalker, be safe.

Aloha and welcome dragonram7,

Thanks for

the kind words as well, and do watch your back. LOL, "forced cell entry dog piles"? Usuually I am the #2 guy right behind the shield man...the thing i hate about these is all the damn filth in the cell or on the MP floor, or pretty much on the inmate themselves. "Stuff" I don't wanna bring home to my family, ya know what I mean?

Mahalo for toting the CSF...sometimes I carry mine in the open position in a clear sheath done for me by swissbianco on my neck. Never carry a knife in the units, but hey, if I am the perimeter guy...:D

Stay safe, and keep sending them Trance vibes...I cannot even get them from Boker, they are totally out of stock!!!:(

God bless:cool:

Chad,

I've had my Subcom for more than six months nowand can honestly say that it always on me. It makes a great pair with a fixed blade or a folder like my D4 or SE Dodo. You've made quite a name for yourself! and keep churing out innovative and versital designs!

Mahalo mmmotorcycle,

Has it been six months already? Wow! Glad you are using it, and yes, it does compliment a bigger blade very well. One of my SFV's usually accompany my Trance, Lava, Waved D4, Persian, Adventura, etc...It's usually the knife I also hand out to non-knife users when the cry, "Who has a knife?" is heard.:p

Naw, no name for myself...yet. God willing, I hope soon though, so i can get the heck outta Hell.

God bless, thanks for keeping us posted on your SF, and ride safe!

Looks like the positive vibes to the universe worked again. I was on the way to a meeting and saw a knife store I hadn't been to in years. I went by before lunch and picked up his last Trance for $31. Love the design. Clean.

For all that love the Subcom F, the Trance will give it competition. I'll check out the swissbianco for the CSF. Thanks for the lead and knives of the year in my book.
Stay safe Daywalker.

Mahalo dragonram7,

Thank YOU, and I am glad you were able to get a Trance. Enjoy it and keep us posted.

Should you check out swissbianco, please send him my regards, and look into some of the sheaths he makes for the SF!

Stay safe also and God bless:cool:
