I have just finished this piece and wanted to show it to the "world".

Handle is Amboina and the steel is ATS-34 1/4". grooves and holes are mirropolished by hand, flats are handrubbed to 400 grit and hollows are handrubbed to 800 grit. When I fininish the sheath it will be sharpened on both edges.

Let me know what you think!

That looks like one Wild and Crazy Knife.I bet it is a real Flesh eater :) And I bet it was tough getting that grind in there on that bottom side.
Looks Good Keep them coming..

Terrifying, Jens. I love it. Looks like something a bad guy in a movie would wield two of, or one and a sword. Very cool.

<font size=3 color=crimson><b>Tremendous grind and finish! I think you got it named right too.

regards, mitch

Great lines, nice finishes and innovative. I think my Dr. would like to get his hands on one of those. Nice job!

I would guess it probably bit the maker a few times!!?
Especially like the bottle opener on top!! :)

Wow, that is cool! :)

Crazy cool grinds and a very distinct look. Very nice looking finish throughout...gorgeous scales... Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the nice replies. I was one tough bugger to grind.....had to handfinish most since the finer grits on the beltgrinder was very hard for me to control. And yes...it has bitten me a few times...that point is Dangerous!

here is the working drawing:

and here is a pic of it in my hand (note: it is not finished in this pic):

it measures about 3" from tip to the small hole just behind the edges

Off and on there's a lot of talk about knives becoming our claws or talons. This is the first design that I think captures the essence of those tools. It is one wicked looking muthah! And the scales are beautiful.

Will be interested to see the sheath and how you envision it being carried. Absolutely great knife!

I know from squat about what all CNC machines can do. Could one of them do the grinds on this? I'm thinking if that is possible that somebody might be real interested in a collaboration. Only trouble I can think of is how to persuade LEOs that it is just a tool. Also, might have to develop a completely new style of knife fighting to use it properly.

It has to be the scariest knife I've ever seen! WONDERFUL!

Anso, great knife. i love your style no can ever say oh! it looks like a loveless drop point hunter. Anso a while ago i think i saw a link on your site for some wootz steel from india, do you still know were to abtain these? i don't seem to be able to find it anymore. if so you can e-mail me throught my RHINO site. thanks in advance.

Very nice, Jens. I'm a big fan of hawksbills, and that has to be one of the coolest yet! Please show us the sheath when it is done. Thanks for sharing!:)
