Just got some new Onion pics today. This one is called a Heatwave: It's a huge 11.5" OAL knife with 0.170" thick 440V blade.

The large Breeze and the Heatwave have big honking 440V blades. The others have S30V. What does everyone think of Ken's newer handle texturing?

Man, that is ridiculously great. All those knives on the onionweb are beautiful, esp the Thorn's. Man, I hope one day that this mere mortal will be able to have a custom onion! Thanks for posting the pics!

Is it a liner lock?
Why no thumb stud? it would be handy :)
 
I believe it's a framelock. No thumbstud because the lines are much cleaner that way. Plus with Speed-Safe you really don't need a thumbstud - the flipper works awesome!

Wow... Anyway, great!
at 11.5" I think it can manage all the tasks most fixed blades can manage and yet remain compact enough to carry without trouble.
 
Onions and Mayo, what a depressing combo. I just cannot take this anymore:( :(

For sale or trade: One wife, slightly used but in mint condition, three kids, all idiots and my wife's nice car for any TNT's or Onions!!!!!!
 
you should be drawn and quarterd for saying that! ill send you a jar of mayo and some onions for your wifes car.

I'd concider a trade , How well does your wife cook ? Do the kids have any experience mowing lawn and doing dishes ,laundry,washing car, do they eat much?:D What year/model is the car ?

fine out if the boys have a interest in knives. put them to work cleaning the shop,profiling, ordering supplys, etc and if the wife is good at book keeping, show updates, public relations?
 
The wife can cook, she drives a nice rig, but the kids are lazy!!!

If that's the wife, what are you complaing about? The kids might be lazy; you just got to motivate them! No $$ or knives until the house & lawn are clean!

Btw, I lied, I guessed it to be 11 1/2 " and it is actually just short of 11 " like 10 15/16 " just fyi.
Mitch is right Nybble It is a frame lock and doesnt have thumbstuds cause it don't need them the flicker is enough to open the blade with either hand. Blade is simmilar to the "Malice" fixed blade.

Damn dude. . .you're a roit ! And if I had anymore Onions ( :mad: ) I'd definitely send you one ! And there would be no need to send your wife, kids and car. . .I have enough to handle already ! ;)
