My buddy and fellow forumite HOBOJO was havin some trouble getting this thick mutha sharp, and I can see why!!!! This knife took some serious attention to make a razor out of it!!!!

He told me he had tried, but to no avail (and managed to scuff it up a little as you can see a little in the photo). I know I have a few knives from when I was first attempting to learn how to convex that are hidden away and I dont like to look at (its ugly). But that was a while ago, and now I have some of the sharpest edges around.....

I let him know that he should send it my way, and Id take care of her.

How does it look?

Im shipping it back to him tomorrow, so I figured I'd tease him with these shots........:D

Ill let him tell you how sharp it REALLY is....

I thought I'd throw these out here too....

He picked up a GL Fatty Warden, and I just recieved a GL BAD.

I took some comparo shots, right before some storms rolled in. Its amazing to see the contrast in these EDC's...........

When you send her back my way, include the BAD too :p

Very nice job! Can't wait to abuse it ;)

Nice edge

What grit of wet and dry did finish at to get the nice shinely finish?

I always finish with the W/D at 2000 grit, and polish with some .5 micron diamond spray on a leather strop...... Super sharp when your done...

Those right there are a thing of beauty! I hope to be able to do that some day. I gotta say, too, that it must have been an act of love to convex the Fatty Warden. Those muthas are THICK.

That looks like quite a job to get a fatty shined up nice and sharp like that! Great job!!

Now thats a Great looking Edge!!!

With my years as a meatcutter I learned to sharpen a standard edge very well, and fast. But I have never tried to convex(other than touch one up)...I need to quit putting if off and practice/learn on a few old blades.

Never seen GL look like that. It kinda looks like the blender warden slabs.
Does it look just like that in person, or do you think it's just the pic?

Probably just the pics, there was some odd lighting outside with the storm approaching, everything was bathed in a pink hue.......

Thanks for the comments guys, I love sharpening INFI! If anyone ever needs a convex edge thrown on something, send it my way!!!!

I think it shows the natural color a bit better.

Rangerover and I both agreed that it looked better naturally than it did with a coat of mineral oil. All that did was darken it up to nearly black.

Im putting its final stropping on right now, and Ill ship it out today, hopefully I dont corrupt you with the Seb.........:D:D:D.

Damn!!! That's some nice convexing.....GREAT JOB.

Damn......beautiful place to live bro. I can't wait to move back to someplace green!!
