I made a Bali a long time ago but I consider this knife my 1st folder(Balis flip...this folds). I have been wanting to make a friction folder for a long time and decided today I was gonna start one. Well it went so well I ended up finishing it tonight after tempering the blade. I learned a LOT!!!!!! Most importantly don't hit the stop pin so freaking hard when peening it!!! Bent the 1st one and then made some scars drilling it out :( But careful peening of the second saved the day :D The scales and back spacer are black G10. Pins are brass. The blade is 3/16 1095 and is 3 7/16 long. The entire knife is 8 5/8in. The tab sits just a tad above the spine of the handle so positive pressure is there when the knife is being used. It is pretty tight but loosening a little the more I play with it. Don't know when I am gonna make another but I am going to :) Please excuse the crappy pics. Gotta get some sunlight before I can work anything close to camera magic .

Very nice! I really like the shape and would love to see one the same design with a lockback or liner lock, though it makes a dang cool friction folder, too! How much time did you put into it (just wondering because I've been thinking about making one myself)?

If you include the planning stages I'd say ten years to build one :) I started with a good idea of what I wanted and have probably 4-5 hours into this one. Next one will probably be a little quicker though.....I hope :D
