Friction folders!

Lets see those custom friction folders! I've been liking them lately but hardly see any pictures, so lets see what you've got.



I'll start.


Here's a little one I finished up the other day. This was originally meant to be my entry into the Christmas KITH this year over on shoptalk but I didn't get it done in time and ended up sending another knife.

The blade is ATS34 and the handle is Jade G-10 with 416 stainless hardware.

the second one in post #6 is made by jimmy fikes, late 80s. it resides in my back pocket from time to time and is used every now and then.

Hi Jason it was cool meeting you this last weekend at the winter show. I saw this thread and dug up a friction folder i did awhile back. D2 hollow ground, g10 scales and back, ss liners. Beautifull knives displayed, im inspired to get into some jade g11 i have stashed! Cool thread!! Greg

It was nice to meet you too Greg! Thanks for sharing your knife, that is one of my favorite blade shapes. The blade looks almost exactly like my edc in fact.

Jonny, only the first knife is mine, but I think it turned out ok. I wasn't really sure if I would like it at first, but it grew on me as I got it closer to completion.

Hans, you are a lucky guy to have such a beautiful knife! I love to see a knife like that actually get used like it was meant to be, rather than left in a case somewhere.
