A falcata! Never thought I would see another one of these up for sale. Sadly I just can't swing the funds at this point. With two very rare items up for sale today will there be more kora and katars? :)

Color me speechless...
The PERFECT blade of its type!
Congrats Vim!!
I Knew I really LIKED His Blades for a reason....
Ahhh... One Day... when the Dollars are available.
I am Sooooooooooo Fortunate to own a Everest Katana by Vim.... I have been watching and collecting His Work when I can!!

Thank-You Ms Yangdu for bringing us such Superb Blades.....

One Day...

:)

Wow, I love the carving on the scabbard. Very deep and detailed. If I didn't already have one and had any money I'd definitely get this one.

BTW - Other than mine, this is only the second villager falcata I've seen. They are VERY rare.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
WOW!!!!

There are lots of older models i'd like to see reruns of...the falcata being one of them. I'd also like to see more antler or bone handled UB Memorial Salyan Specials by Bura. More Sgian Dubh and Kerambits and....and...and.... I just hope I have ready cash if/when they ever do.

Great score Jimmy!

Thanks guys, I'm new to HI addiction, 4 blades in 10 days already. I can't stop checking
this forum out. This place is like a Busse Ganza is about to happen any second. All I think is what's in todays DOTD.

Just when I think that the Giant Chitlangi Bowie and the Bhairab Khukuri would be the last B-I-G HI blades I would be after so comes along some Falcata's :(

Another addition to the 'must have' list...

Yikes. I haven't been around in a while to shark out deals, but now and then I log in to check things out--and all I can say is WOW. If another one of these comes up in the next couple of days (but not Tuesday--I'll spend that day on an airplane *wink*wink*) it's mine. Just accept that now, folks. You're about to get outsharked.

FWIW, I'm also here to shark out a big (20")+ AK, or Cherokee Rose--both of which I just saw that I missed...

Back to lurking...

Barely a year old, the same Falcata pictured in this thread was recently resold to me.
My intentions when buying it were to use it in a fundraiser for the Kami Fund, in collaboration with Auntie Yangdu. Now it's time for me to keep my deal with myself, and give this up to whoever is destined to own it.

Yangdu will be collecting $10 donations and assigning numbers between 1 and 50 to the donors.
Once $500 is raised, she will draw a number and tell me who is destined to own this Falcata.
It could be you. I will then send it to that person.

You can double, triple, quadruple, etc., your likelihood of being "the chosen one" by making multiple donations.
This is encouraged, to speed up the process and get us to $500 quicker.
Someone making just one $10 donation, though, could still be chosen.

I will be soon posting more photos of this Falcata and its amazing carved scabbard.
In the meantime, feel free to start sending $10 donations to Auntie Yangdu, with "Falcata" noted somewhere.
If you are lucky enough to already own a Falcata, well then maybe you are destined to have one for each hand.;)

This is really nice of you Steve, and a great cause! I predict you will get 50 donations in record time.

Best,

Norm
