I have absolutely no idea what this w/e holds. Just going to play it by ear. Got all my Fall yard work done so I should be wide open to do whatever I want. Need to work on an order for sure and try to sneek in some playtime on that big knife I'm starting.

What are you doing?
 
Greetings, Friends and Neighbors! I just want to take this oppurtunity to issue forth a hail and hearty, "UP YOURS" to all of you who get a 3-day weekend this weekend. :eek: I have to work tomorrow, and I don't get Monday off. BLAH! :grumpy:

I'm headiing to the Greater Ohio valley knife show in Columbus, Ohio. This will be my first knife show.
 
I am starting an order for the UK and working on a current order. Babysitting my favorite 1 1/2 yr. old little girl and my sisters spoiled little rat dog ;(

Then off to the fair for some nasty ol food ;)
 
Looks like the weather is going to be great so a few of us are hoping to take the motorcycles north near Lake Superior to see the fall colors. :D This far north every nice day could be the last nice day. :grumpy: Along with the days getting shorter we have another problem -- DEER -- about a week ago I didn't leave for home until after dark on the motorcycle and just missed being in the middle of a herd of deer by about 25 feet :eek: I would be willing to bet I wont see one during the season though :grumpy:

I wish I had a three-day weekend. :grumpy:

I'm gonna do some goose hunting and maybe lay some ceramic tile. :( Then some knife work and maybe watch a movie or two. :D

Well, I always have a three day weekend! :D But I'm not off Monday, so I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself.

This morning I started polishing the six tantos, and this is the work I hate the most! I'll be doing it all weekend I'm sure. If they had a hangdog face emoticon I'd be using it about now. ;)

My wife is having a garage sale, so that means I'll be hauling junk in and out all weekend. As long as she doesn't start thinking she needs to keep it all, it'll be worth it!
 
Well, I'm going to be cutting, drilling, and prepping the steel for another batch of 10 forges, and working on two knife orders I've got in process and possibly starting a few more. I've also got a guy coming over this weekend to start teaching him to make knives. :)

I never have a weekend off :grumpy: unless I take a P.H. or vaction. I work third shift and my nite off is Thurs. nite. Still busy with knife work, but did slip out two mornings to deer hunt. Tues. morning jumped two doe walking to my stand :grumpy: . The fox hounds were reeking havoc in the woods that morning, running around chasing nothing so it was a bust, but Tues. morning, I had 7 bucks in a bachelor group reeeeeal close to me but I could not get a shot. There was a spike, forkhorn, 3 six pointers, an eight and a ten pointer hanging together. Man was I fired up after seeing that! I'll be out next week for sure. Enjoy your weekend guys ;)

Still working on the shop addition. Going door hardware shopping for my freebee door and frame. At least it will get me away for alittle while. Maybe take a picture later today and post it as my first shop tour........
 
Well, I thought about showing up unannounced at Burch's house, but thought again about that. I'll bug him soon enough. ;) :)

Gonna be cleaning my den in the basement, and that means I WILL find some knives I've been looking for. Might get out in the shop and grind a blade or two.

Agreed. I work 6 days except for vacation. Any work on knives usually comes after a 10 to 12 hour day. I aint bitchen cause I like what I do. Got one knife to finish for an order, a 4" cordwrap and then more belly and claw keys. Doing some nice leashes to go with them too.....O yea I should work on some ceramic tile in the basement........maybe.

I will get one cookout at the lake this year if it has to be by myself. I'll bet I can find someone there that will chew on a burger and have a scotch with me :D

man that turkey sounds good too, a good ole turkey and Mayo sandwich :) :D
 
I get 2 days but am delighted in that.
I'm going to bail my yard, check my deer cams, get my stands in good working and non squeaking condition, sight in my new rifle and I got energetic and made a billet of Damascus last night.

I'm going to make a new field knife to replace the one I just made and traded. :confused:

OH......my wife has some things for me to do too :grumpy:
 
What's up party people???? Did I hear Mark W say three day weekend>>> WoooooooHOOOOOOOOO! I can feel it!!!! Just started mine about an hour ago and the only thing I have planned right now is going down in the basement and beating on some drums and maybe crankin' up a Marshall or two :D :D Later tonight I will try to make something sharp. :eek:

But you gotta take the good with the bad right. :rolleyes: Bad news is the outlaws are in town and they came from NY FL and who knows where else :mad: :mad: Atleast they are not staying with me..

Better take advantage of the house while it's empty...
