Looks like a rain for the next week. Need to finish my forge and get some stuff made. Might try a new style knife that I've been thinking about. Whatya got planned?
 
I'm not a knife maker, but I think I'll participate anyway cause you guys are all cool as lemonade. If you don't mind of course. :)

I'm waiting for the UPS man to drop off an order I've been waiting for for a while now. I also just got a new Spyderco Dodo, so I've been playing with that little bugger.

Also in the process of trying to convince my puppy that going outside is really the best course of action. She's being stubborn. Wish me luck.

I'm actually beginning to feel better. I think I've kicked the flu's ass, but I still got some green chowda coming out of my lungs and sinuses. :barf:

But I guess I'm well-enough to install some windows (4) tomorrow and maybe drink some tequila tomorrow night. I promised my Missus I'd make her some carnitas for her celebration meal for getting that new position at the hospital, so don't be alarmed when I drink tequila instead of my usual Knob Creek. Ya just GOT to drink tequila when making Mexican food! It just wouldn't be right! Comprende?

Green Chowda? I prefer to call them, "chocolate chip lung cookies". :D
 
ahhh. Friday.

I got the day off (I don't know what the hell I'm doing up. :confused: ). Gonna hit the river this weekend and hope it doesn't rain.
 
I got married tuesday, so we're still honeymooning, even though we're back at home. I'm trying to talk the new bride into going canoeing in the everglades tomorrow, but it's still up in the air. I'm about to go to her dad's shop and cut up some whitetail sheds I found a while back, but no major knifework this weekend.

Finished the heat treat on the hawk last night. I'll clean it up a little then mount the handle.
I have a fighter ordered. The guy wants to attach his own scales. I just have it finished to that point. Full tang, 5" blade with false edge on top forged in D2.
O yea I think I have to work somewhere in there. Well a little sleep then back at it.

I have 8 knives in various stages of completion, but mainly working on the bowie handles. Just got in a nice stack of steel from Kelly Cuples, so need to sort it out and put it on the rack. Hot as H--l in Sout Central Texas, and I was told to weed eat the yard for a family get-together tomorrow. So my weekend is basically shot.
 
Tempering a bushcraft, setting scales on a camp knife, work on a computer, HT a 440C tomorrow, more computer work then profile another bushcraft Sunday and finish the 440C HT.

I have to go into work at midnite Sat. Thats starts my four day work week Got an order for six knives but no shop yet :(
 
Getting ready for Grasshoppa's pig roast. They are cooking up 3 @ 50# little pigs and free beer.OH BOY!!!!! :D :D
 
I finally ground the blade of a "sort of axe" I'm working on for an old friend. Then I started the filework around the handle. I'm about to go finish that up and head for the shooting range...reach out and touch that 600 yard target. :D Or if it rains, I'll HT the axe. Which brings up a question for another thread.
