Hope everyone has a great w/e. happy Easter to those that observe it.

I've got to do a little work on my travel trailer to get it ready for some w/e excursions. Might throw out some chemicals on the lawn. Yippee

Then I'm going to start work on a BIG knife like object just for fun.

What you guys got goin on?

I've got the w/e off for a change. I'm caught up on my grinding on customer orders, just waiting for a few blades to come back from heat treat to finish up. I've got one big camp knife to grind this w/e. I'm going to a small local gunshow as a patron (not setting up) on Sat. Basically just laying back and taking it easy this w/e.
Have a good one. ;)

Horseshow saturday. Easter with the family on sunday. Any knife work I can get in in between. Also working on a display case for the medals my grandpa got in WWII, will probably work on that after work today.
Have a good one everybody

After last weekend's craziness I spent this week playing catch-up with patients, which is not fun. Thought I was through with my KITH knife, for the most part, but unclamped it yesterday and heard "crackcrackcrackle" for a few seconds, like you're on a frozen lake and the ice is breaking underneath you. I knew I shouldn't have, but I used the last bit of Devcon 2 Ton from an empty syringe and obviously I had way too much hardener and not enough resin. Did the same thing on last year's KITH knife, only too much resin and not enough hardener that time! So, I have to scrape the tang and scales and do that all over again. I hope to get that done by tonight and spend some of tomorrow grinding my first blade on my new grinder. Also have some mods to do to my setup (my motor is a little close to the body of the grinder so I can't rock it back for access to the contact wheel, that sort of thing).

I'm going to make a few sheaths, try to take some photos, and start painting the living/dining rooms. We've lived in this house six years and still haven't painted the whole thing! But I have more important things to do than paint...or so I say. My wife has a different opinion. :D And I do what I'm told! So painting it is. My folks are coming to visit mid April so we have to get this place spruced up a little - according to my wife. And she's right! You know she is! And I'll do whatever I'm told. So sprucing up it will be. And the knives can just sit and rust - Not! I guess I'll be giving up some sleep to accommodate everyone, just like the rest of you married folks... :D I love Fridays - and Satudays, and Sundays. Thursdays ain't bad either, anticipating Fridays. Okay guys, off to fold clothes so I can clear the folding table to work on sheaths...before the wife gets up and starts cracking that whip.

I'll be doing some knife work this weekend, as usual. :) If the weather holds up, I'll get some walleye fishing done on Sunday with my father.

I have a nasty cold so spending Easter with my Mother is out -- she is 93. Was going to take all the grandkids with but they are sick also and I was wondering where I caught it :grumpy:

There is a bright side to the week end though. I have to take a large order to T of W and it really makes me feel good when the owners Wife turns white when she sees the bottom line on our invoice :D

Enjoy the candy eggs and chocolate bunnies guys

It is starting to warm up here, I'm just going to clean up the shop( one half of the garage). Get ready to start forgeing when the temp moves up a tad more. Oh yea, I do believe I may consume some quantity of chocolate at some point too. Have a good one every one!

Finished my KITH last night. I'll do a sheath sometime this weekend and take picts. Some work on orders and other stuff. Then I'll be cooking for Easter.

I've been conducting a rocking chair making class this week (well, someone have to show people how to make a chair!). I'm hoping to work on several knife related odds and ends over the weekend. Weather here in Texas is GEORGOUS today.

I was planning to make my first damascus, from then I didnt/couldnt go to my shop. The construction on our cafe speeding up, we are trying to get the "garden cafe" ready to the summer season. I think the knives and damascus has to wait for a couple of weeks or a month :barf: . I will work in the weekend also. Build a wall, try a new cake recipe, thats how it goes....

Happy weekends
Emre

I'm still coughing up all that nasty stuff from the crap that is going around, my 2nd week of it. I just received my bar of NS from Sheffield, nice stuff and great folks. I just got my first order from Canada, so I am branching out, huh? His knife will have to be squeezed in sometime this summer. My wife bought enough bunny candy to keep the grandkids wired for a month. Dave, your place looks just fine, what you need is SHOP TIME! Dave lives in a really fine home, folks. Y'all have a safe and fun bunny weekend, I will be in the shop.

George, that's an excellent idea! You are having some more of those bottom feeders, I bet. Hey, you have a lot of seagulls in your area, maybe you are considering some of those, rascal. I mean, Mr. Rascal. I know how you probably get them, the birds. You zip around on the sea shore parking lots on your scooter and have a fish landing net. You just buzz them and bag 'em. It was heard that you have been playing possum on the beaches and grab the sea gulls when they get close enough, too. The birds land on the "dead guy" and get grabbed! How about the fishing pole with the hook baited with a tidbit of fish? Those birds kinda hard to get on the fish stringer, huh? With all that flapping, pecking, and yelping, it ought to be exciting. Sea chicken, you say? Chicken of the Sea has a real ring to it. Rascal.

I'm gonna see if I can meet RazorbackKnives after work today, if not, we'll cross paths sooner or later. Tomorrow, some time off with the family, kick back and gorge :D and get a money order together for some knives hot damn can't wait!
