looks like Charlie is going to make for a rainy w/e. Hope all you Florida folks and up make it okay. No grass cutting so hopefully lots of shop time for me. Y'all have a good one.

Tonight: Going to the motorcycle shop for some coolant for the atv. Stopping off at Home Depot for another door and some more sealant. Whne I get home, going to adjust the throttle position sensor on my atv and possibly turn an aluminum drive wheel on my lathe for the new belt sharpener I'm making (thanks, IG for the idea, bubba!).

Saturday: install a door and two windows.

Sunday: its a balls-out atv expedition. All this rain oughta make for some good mud!

Send me a pic when you get it done. Getting a boat ready, just in case with all the rain heading this way.

You folks in the path of the big rain, stay safe.

Tomorrow I'm heading down to Branson to visit my fiance's parents (yes, they actually live in Branson. :D ) Then I have an old friend and his fiance coming up Saturday night. They finally got a babysitter for that night and morning so that means we'll cabbing it downtown and doing a little boozing. :)

So, that means I won't get too much done on Sunday. ;) :D

I'm gonna do some work in the shop this weekend, and also go bass fishing.

hopefully i can grind a few knives... i have two nice ones all drawn out. but yesterday proved hopeless when i tried grinding them.... more scraps for the canister damascus i guess! i don't think my KMG is tracking right.... seems like the shoulders are very sharp on my left hand grind when i do my bevels and my right hand grind gives a nice round sweep..... any suggestions?? i've tried rolling the belt over but nothing seems to work.

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE AND ETC. Grasshoppa how many blades have you ground to date????? It takes time dude. Have you made a jig for your plunge cuts????

Jigs!!!!! The only jig in the shop should be the one you perform after you make good plunges freehand. :D

no i don't need a jig.... its been going good i can grind a pretty good plunge but for some reason this blade style doesn't wan't to give in.

Just tapered tang. About to grind the scandi bevels (one more beer and the courage should be at proper level), two blades to heat treat, gotta get started back on collab. knife. Something else in there somewhere; just can't remember right now.

Bring Alot of beer. Beaver may need oars on the Rat Bike in the AM.

IG and fellas, you expecting some really bad weather coming up the coast from Florida? The first thing I'd move after the weomen, kids, and pets, would be the big Indian machine, IG!

I'm gonna get Danny's skinning axe finished this weekend one way or the other... I hope this thing turns out, it's been as bad as I thought it was going to be! I knew I procrastinated on it for a year for a good reason.

Then I'm going to start finishing up my son's girlfriend's push dagger and get that sent to them. He started it, moved or Oregon, left me to finish it for him. :D Guess I will, eh?

Roger I finally got a box to mail the collab knife back to you. I've had it done for weeks, it's just been buried under all the crap on my desk and I keep forgetting to mail it.

Started another liner-lock pistol/folder. I hope to show this one at the Hammer-in in Spokane Washington in October.
