Ahh sweet friday again.

I'll be working out in the shop as much as the family scene will allow. Might now press my luck since I'll be riding up to the Chesapeke show on Sunday. If ya see me and I dont recognize ya, say hi.

4" of fresh snow this morning and everything fresh and clean again.The truck wouldn't start this morning so got to take the wifes 4 runner. Going to work on my new gas forge this weekend and maybe finish off a fillet knife that is going to south carolina. Have a good weekend
 
I have a good weekend planned
-Weld myself up a pair of tongs for making my little brother's christmas present
-Get several soft fire bricks so that I don't destroy my lining
-Weld up the cable and shape the wrought iron handle
-begin work on the KMG homemade grinder
 
Have a safe one! Going to go after some ducks and hope that the cold weather up north has pushed them down to our neck of the woods.

Other than that - it is leather work, forging and grindin'. :D
 
Hopefully get two more folders off my bench this weekend. The wife is in Florida visiting family, and I'm stuck up here in the snow. DANG IT!:grumpy:
 
Hopefully get a few more done by tomorrow and get ready for the Chesapeake show. Going to try to get a few sheaths done too. First table on the left as you walk in the door. Stop by and say Hi!

I'll be putting together my new 12" wood bandsaw and making another batch of wood cake knives......
 
Ive got a few knives to work on and a little christmas shopping to do. I need to try to get the shop cleaned up a little if possible.
 
Well I'm actually ready for the Chesapeake show a few days in advance. Taking a break from everything today. I've had some very emotional personal issues lately.:( Have a good w/e :)

Just shoveled 10" of snow by hand [there's still life in me !]. Now I can relax for the weekend.... Sweeny, eating turtle - tell the little kid to take the meat out of the shell ,don't eat the whole thing !!
 
No snow yet, but it was -2°F yesterday morning and my shop is on the north side of the house with no heat except for the heat treat oven and a very inadequate space heater. It hasn't been above freezing in there for weeks now.

I wasn't always the wuss I am now.
 
Nancy is outside now shoveling the 5" of fresh snow. I thought I had come to grips with the inadequacies of being disabled but my male ego is suffering at the moment! :o

Checking furnace temps this weekend with some Orton cones and trying to figure out a handle for a blade I made a year ago. I hate it when I pursue an idea without drawing it up first! LOL Halfassed way to do things. :(

Cold here, too, Steve. We've had a record cold 30 days; zero days above freezing. Very early for the Chicago area.

well boys, it's a freezing 50 deg here in SC and my m-65 jacket is handling it capably without the liner. what's snow...? watchin a movie with some amigos tonight, then helpin a friend cut up some wood for a bonfire on sunday night. sunday i might go to the climbin wall if it's not too cold for shorts. :D ya'll have fun playin in the snow and have a warm weekend....if that's at all possible...:D

In the 20's in North Georgia and some roads have been closed because of icy conditions. Think I'll blaze a way to the refrigerator and see if there still might be a stray brew (toddy for the body) left in there! Snow, huh? You guys can have it, the only thing I shovel anymore is a little bull or what it produces! ---Sandy---
