Banking and shopping with my better half this morning, and then do some work in my shop. I have some more lights to hang in my shop and organize shop # 2 that has my wood lathe buried under some stuff. I scored good on the old 48" bed Delta a few years ago, $100 ! It runs like a sewing machine. It was one I used in wood shop back in high school, over 40 years ago. It still has the weird green paint job on it and "LATHE" stenciled on it! I ran into the son of my old wood shop teacher at a yard sale and was telling him I was looking for a better lathe. The son at the time was a retired wood shop teacher from the same school. Anyhow, I followed him home and he showed me the lathe. Was I surprised! When I asked him how much, he said $100. I couldn't get the 100 dollar bill out of my wallet fast enough. He even threw in a set of old gouges, good ones. Any better of a deal, and he would have paid me to take it, I think. I had the other lathe, one I bought for $5. that I put a $1 yardsale motor on. I spruced it up and sold it for $40., so I made out pretty good on the big Delta. Anyhow, I have other machinery sitting idle in there that needs to be organized and set up, so it's going to be a fun day. Tomorrow is doing what my wife wants to do, yardsales, etc., and then work on some hunters. Sunday is squirrel hunting with the .17HMR and more shop time in shop #1.
