Got to get my truck worked on and try to finish up a project. And hopefully get time to start on a hawk that's been calling me.

Me, I'll be cleaning out room in my barn for 2 cars some guy wants to store for the winter, rent money yeah :thumbup: .

Oh and maybe if it warms up above 50 I'll take the motorcycle out for a ride :D to check out what color's left in the leaves on the trees.

Go to work and after that cut and split fire wood for a couple of hours and then it's off to a Halloween party at my daughters house.And then tomorow its my day, deer hunting and make a hawk or two.Have a good weekend .
 
Working on a folder for customer. :D

Got to fix some heater duct in the house.

Might try to squeeze in a ride on the kawasaki if it gets warmer.
 
School this morning then work the rest of the day. Then probably homework tonight and work the rest of the weekend. Need to squeeze in some shoptime and would like to take the new 12 gauge for a spin, but that stuff is looking doubtful :yawn:

Got some forging to do, some grinding, and plenty of hand-rubbing. Hopefully I'll get to work on some of the BUSK blanks if I have time.

Replaceing Soffit and eaves, getting ready for apainting the garage and the shop.
 
My son has a platform deer stand right behind his house and I bet it will have frost on it in the morning -- so this old man is going to put sides on it. Thought to my self it would sure be stupid to slip over the edge in the dark. Season opens on the 5th and I havent hunted in maybe 15 years and to say the least I am looking forward to hunting again.
I think next year I will put on a roof and maybe even a small stove just like I see on OLN :rolleyes: After all I want to look like a "REAL" sportsman :D
 
Been working on my first folder. Last night I finally heard the "click" I wanted after fiddling with the lock for a little while. Ive had to mcguyver a few things along the way, but lockup is looking and feeling perfect....if i come out of this with a useable knife, ill be more than happy.

Other than that, working on the KITH a bit this weekend....movies tonight....seeeing some houses on sunday....
 
I am leaving early in the morning for Austin. The guys from Balcones Forge said that I could come and watch/help them forge some chain. I am hoping to learn. They seem like a great bunch of guys and I can't wait!
 
Gotta make a sheath for the "No Class Brass" knife I posted. It is headed for a new home in Michigan when finished.

Gotta clean the shop...........can't find sh$t in there these days.

More work than play this weekend. I'm hoping to get a sheath made for a large hunter I just finished up. Hopefully I'll have it up in the Gallery or For Sale area soon.
 
tried curing a set of handles in the house near the nice warm dry stove... not too close though. we'll see if they want to stay on. then if thats good i'll set another pair on. then its off to work. the good ol friday night rush

I'm getting the last of my burner parts tommorow and welding together a new forge shell! The Kaowool and ITC-100 have yet to arrive though, so it may be another week before I'm forging. Other than that, I'm building an anvil base for my stake anvil, stake fuller, and mini- stake anvil.
 
Sweet! Just spent about an hour and my first sole authorship folder is lookin' good! Sure, the liners look like swiss cheese from all the screw ups and learning lessons ive had along the way.....but it locks up perfect, no blade play, sits evenly in the liners.....

Its profiled and locking up good, all thats left is a quick blade grind and HT, and then fitting the scales....i hope to have it done by next weekend.....
 
Turn your clocks back 1 hour !! And watch out for the ghosts and goblins.
