Still working on transforming the old 30' x 36' "bakker" barn into a workshop. Making some pretty good progress , slow... but progress.

Hope all of you guys are doing good.

What are ya'll doin this w/e?

Been awhile since I've seen one of these posts. I hope this finds everyone with full supply shelves and sharp and new grinding belts. :D

I've got some college graduation stuff to attend tonight (brother-in-law), then I've got a lot of bandsaw cutting to do.

Hoping to work on some handles, and finally prepare for assembling the real forge Sunday!

...and it only took 6 or 7 months!

Working on a fighter and a chain damascus drop point. I need to clean my shop. Yeah, right.

looking to finish one knife and glue up some mammoth handles on another.
and if i feel creative i'll grind out a few more to get a batch ready for HT.
then off to work for the night. hope the rest of ya have a good friday and a good weekend

I'm glad to see you be the one posting this, Mark! Get some requests? hehe

Shoptime, make music, watch sports......

Have a good one, folks!

Happy Birthday Dave!

I'm having an "easy" work day today and plan to grind into my W's billet I'm working on to see how it's going. Hope to finish that tonight and maybe start on some pieces for a composite twist billet that's been running through my head. I also have a carry knife for myself that needs to be ground, handled, and finished. I'd like to have that done before next week and start figuring out the sheath for it.

I also ordered a bunch of steel from Aldo and Kelly Cupples yesterday to keep my weekends in the future busy :)

What're you up to this weekend Butch? We've got fire, we should make stuff! Bring some cable over or something...

Where did you get the chain Damascus from??? It sounds familiar.  :D
It's suppose to be in the 50's tomorrow. I may fire up the forge and make some Damascus.:D Sunday making up some Shrimp Mozambique.

2lbs. Shrimp...1 large onion, chopped fine.... 4-6
Cloves of garlic chopped fine, 1 can of beer, 1 cup of red wine, 4-6 packs of
goya season,..(sazon goya con azafran) that's the one with the fish on the
Pack very important that you use this one it make all the difference in the
World its also the one that comes in a YELLOW and ORANGE box! 1/4 cup of
Parsley chopped...hot pepper to taste and salt if needed...1st take the onion
Pan fry it with-2 tbsp. of veg oil, add garlic, after about 2 min. add
Shrimp, then beer and wine, then add the goya season...cook for about 15 min.
Then add parsley and hot pepper and salt if needed
Got to make garlic bread to dip in the sauce too.
After eating this you can knock a buzzard of a $hit wagon with your breath.  :D

I'm working on finishing up three knife handles on some hunters this weekend. One is already paid for, and looks to be my "best work" to date! I'm really happy with it so far. The other one is for a friend who selfless takes me fishing for Salmon on the Columbia River here in the Portland, Oregon area. Since he is a hunter also, I'm hoping he gets a lot of use and joy out of the knife. The other is still unspoken for, but has a real nice piece of Cocobolo Rosewood on it!

If I get these finished, I'll begin cleaning up the other 19 blades that I forged recently.

Gonna be a fun weekend, plus, I'm on vacation the rest of the year. I plan on being "busy and productive"!

Just finishing up a large sheath order for a Canadian knife maker. Weekend will be devoted to debauchery, sippin beer, ---drinking beer ---switching to ale ---switching to stout ---get the picture? Life don't get any better than this!

George, the shrimp sounds, kickassssss.

Really makes me happy, knowing that many of you are working in the shop, this weekend, getting stuff caught up.

Just knowing you are there will make it easier for me to sit on my Butt :jerkit:

Enjoy it, whatever you are doing!!
