its friday the 13th. a whole day of bad luck. be safe whith all thoes knives out there not missing fingers please.
 
Friday the 13th, Schmiday the Schmirteenth... I'm running with scissors today :rolleyes:
I didn't even realize the day and date till you pointed it out!
 
Anyone know the history of why Friday the 13th is considered unlucky?
 
The modern basis for the aura that surrounds Friday the 13th stems from Friday October the 13th, 1307. On this date, the Pope of the church in Rome in Conjunction with the King of France, carried out a secret death warrant Against "the Knights Templar". The Templars were terminated as heretics, never again to hold the power that they had held for so long. There Grand Master, Jacques DeMolay, was arrested and before he was killed, was tortured and crucified.
 
It was a Friday and the 13th day of a month when a Pope ordered all the Templar Knights to be killed or rounded up. I don't recall that Pope's name, but the Templar's had too much money and power.

Friday the 13th is a day I celebrate, I have a new Bark River Machete coming in the mail, and a new Hockey mask!

My wife and I were married on the 13th of July. I think every 7 years our anniversary falls on a Friday...on this day we close the blinds in the house and sleep in our coffins in the basement.
 
when i got to work this morning i got THE call from the owner of the resort telling me to close up shop. i did so swiftly and quietly because fridays seem to always warrant trips to the hospital for the employees. being its the busiest day where i work. 2 weeks ago a chef fell down the stairs and got 6 stitches. last fridays a front of house manager slipped and hit the deck... with her face. 9 stitches. and i always seem to be the guy offering the ride to the emergency room ha.

so i was excited to not have to be at work today.

Ironic, Beef puts up a post about Friday the 13th being a day of bad luck then he has to leave early yesterday after not feeling well. Still out today sick . Maybe somebody at Rally's was having a bad day yesterday and took it out on his sandwich.
