Hey...the old man aint here so lets hear what your doing this weekend anyway
I have to shape 3 handles and go to Babys-R-US.
JUst glad NOT to be cutting the grass!!!
Work all day today since I don't have school. Then the rest of the weekend I'm gonna try and get some stuff done in the shop and get some target practice in too.
Have a good one everybody
My family and I spent last week end deer hunting and didn't see any BUT our neighbors hunting party got 7. They desided they only needed 4 for meat so they gave us 3:thumbup: We do our own butchering so you can see what our weekend is going to be. At least we wont have any problem with meat spoiling -- the forcast is for snow by tuesday looks like i'll have to put away the motorcycle:grumpy:
Tomorrow: I have to go to Ren-Fest with the family, so I have to wait till Sunday to get the forge finished
Sunday: I get it all finished, fire it up, make sure that everything is running properly, and then pound some metal. If drying, etc. takes too long, next Sat. is open.
Clean the shop, finish some blades and profile some more.
Oh, did I mention I got a new grinder with one of those speed controllers? This thingy iss expensive but it reaslly pays off!
Tonight: Finish KITH knife for Nov. 15th deadline...here are spy pics! I made this using the cable damascus billet i made at the HI...here it is loosly dry fit together after HT:
Handle is a small piece of antler i got in a box of goodies from Jeff Higgins at the HI, buttcap is two slices of cable damascus pinned with some kind of screw i found, guard is some rusty thing i found on my shop floor...
Tomorrow: Finish KITH if not done tonight, Re-HT folder blade, begin folder #2!
off to get some ivory, then off to work tonight, cooking my little heart out till later tonight. i'm hoping to get in the shop today and make a few kydex sheaths that are long over due. have a good weekend guys.
