I'm going over to a fine knifemakers house this afternoon named Jim Arbuckle. We are going to get as many billets prepped as we can, so we can get them welded and drawn out tomorrow. Damn nice having a press to work with. Sunday We'll be heading up to the Timonium show. Really looking forward to that. See some of you guys there. Have a great w/e ;)

Have fun Mark. Have any billets FS email me the price ;) I may bite....

I am headed to Columbia SC for a family Christmas party. Then making 3 sheaths Sunday...I hope!

Well I hate to say it but I may just be a lazy a$$ today. I'm waiting on an end mill to work on one project and don't have any burning desires to start anything else. Good day for old movies.

Shop time today. Time to put another coat of acid on the spurs I'm workin on. Then I'm going to forge some letter openers for christmas presents and hopefully start a knife or two. Need to order some more 440C cause I have 3 folders to make.
Tommorrow I've got some knives to mail and I have to figure out what I'm doing for my brother for christmas
Probably going to find time to sit on my ass and do nothing too :D

Of course I'll be at the Chesapeake show this weekend. We went deer hunting last nite and sat in the rain  All I saw was a small doe. I'm going to do some grinding Sat. afternoon. See some of you guys this weekend, everyone else enjoy you WE.

Going to finish putting the winch and snowplow on my atv tomorrow morning, then rafters on the shed - possibly sheath it too. Sunday: More work on the shed. I just got me a framing nailer and 5000 nails for it, so its going to be fun! :D

knives? what are those? You mean like a ginsu?

"possibly sheath it too" You need to get in the shop bad!! :D

Going to Branson tomorrow to look for some geese on Tablerock lake, then spending the weekend doing some knifework, and hopefully finishing up some xmas shopping. :(

You all have a safe one -- Razorback- good luck at the show, Mark -- don't smash any fingies in the press. ;)

Jeff, Tell me how much fun the framing nailer is after your done useing it. Being in construction most my life tools like that aren't design for fun but for production. They will work you ass off. They don't get tired....... Be carefull with it, I've seen guys nail there foot to floors. Have fun!

I've got a little knife show south of me in Eugene tomorrow. Man this week has flown by. I'm starting to turn into an old man....

Those framing nailers are worth their weight in gold! I have used them a lot in the past, and they sure do save work. We did a bunch of roofing here with an air nailer, too. BAP! BAP! BAP! And it's done! I'm just pretty much taking it easy today, the first day of my regular 3 day weekend. I'm going shopping for a better heater for my shop today. If you are having fun making noise in the shop, you gotta stay warm in these Iowa winters. I have to check on some black jade for (E R) Russ Andrews again tonight. My rock guy and I work opposite shifts, so it's hard to do any business during the week. Russ would want you all to know he and I are not related!

Chesapeake show Sunday. Looking forward to seeing some of you guys there.
Hope to finish a few sheaths.

Jeff - watch out for the double bounce. If that gun will do it you will find out pretty quick :D

I know what you mean, Ray. That's why I got a Hitachi. That sob was expensive, but less than half the weight of a Bostitch or Porter-Cable. Makita is THE name in nailers right now, but I got a great deal on the Hitachi, which is very simliar imho. I'll have this for when I move to NC and Mr. Goode decides he needs an addition to that shop already! :D

Dont temped me Jeff :D :D That may be very cool......he he
