Yeehaa,

Birthday yesterday, today I get to go try and swallow a camera so's they can look at my gizzard, :D

Have now clue what the w/e holds after the drugs wear off. ;)

Might start doing the accordian cut on my first bar of mosaic damascus.

What ya'll doin? Other than Michael. We know he'll be down getting fitted for the ankle shackle. :D

I am training a new PCA to take care of Helen today and tomorrow. Had to fire the other B!tch. Got Paul Sabin coming over on Saturday to show me how to put in a 4' X 4' platform on my stairs. Got some Filipino Mahogany to do it up with. I also hope to get the HD and Indian running this weekend. :D

Got to work today. Then if I can get home in time, I might go with my parents to see my new nephew
Other than that probably just knife work, I've got another forged peice in progress, and a folder I've been butchering. Also have some repair work to do on our bush hog, and my dad drug home a New Idea #17 spreader that had been sitting in a neighbors fence row for 30 years, thats goin to need a little.... uh fixin up
My brother is graduating with his BS in materials science engineering sunday. He's going right back to continue working on his PHD. Probably have something going on for that, although I haven't decided whether I can drag myself back to campus to watch or not. I kind of swore I'd never set foot in that damn place before fall quarter starts now that I'm on summer break ;)

Trying to figure out my O1 problem, trying to finish out a couple knives and grind some for people patiently waiting, and watching independent films while trying not to drink too much at the Waterfront Film Festival in Saugatuck. I really want to get knife stuff done. Weekends get busy in the summer, but I have been a total slacker on the knife stuff so I need to get working again! :D

Getting 2 jobs ready for the mail and getting 3 more jobs to the handle stage.
I'll be out of town all next week so I'll miss you nuts!

It was back to work for me last nite after being off since Memorial day w/e. :grumpy: Not much going on for me this w/e. Just trying to reajust back to third shift.

I'm going to do some forging tonight and a little hand-rubbing. It seems like there is something else I am supposed to do . . . . .;)

Have a good weekend everyone and be safe.

Mark, I hope it isn't serious! I don't think I'd like eating a camera. Let us know how it goes, and I hope it's nothing in the long run for you. I stitched my first sheath last night, so today I'll clean it up a little, and mill some mesquite logs that seem to have a lot of burl in them. Not a real exciting day for me, but a day none-the-less!

I'll be spending my last weekend as a full time knife maker, and will do in grand style, grindin, grindin, gindin and a little grindin. But Sunday I will be celebrateing my little guys first birthday. Should be fun.

Yard work for me as well. After all that rain we got here, that lawn needs some serious cutting. Got to also get into my shop and do some clean up - had to do some small woodworking things for my wife. With any sort of luck there will be time to do a bit of leather work and go spend some time with my grandson :D

Hey Mark. Prayers an positive energies sent for a positive outcome. We don't want you developing a taste for those cameras now do we?
Will we get picts of that mosaic damascus?
Going to finish the other JDM5160 blade and heat treat it. Finish grind, sharpen and start testing.
Done one the way I always do and the other Ed's way.
We'll see where it goes.

Mark in the Dr.'s office, that should be a  blast.

Hey me an the MRS.> are celebrating 26 years of marriage.
She don't look that tough, but putting up with me is a dangerous job. :p :p :p

Golf Tourney tomorrow morning then some gardening then to work on knives.

Good luck at the Dr. Mark. Hope all goes well.

Start Saturday by heading out to the Reliable Tools parking lot sale in Irwindale. Reliable is a used machinery dealer that buys auction lots and liquidates plants and sells most of the machinery on ebay. Then they occasionally have a parking lot sale to get rid of a lot of the small crap, usually cheap:)

While I'm there, I'm supposed to meet ADrummond from www.practicalmachinist.com to deliver the Colombia anvil I had for sale a while back.

Then on the way home, I'm supposed to meet up with Jay Hinton, or Surly over on USN to check out his KMG in the flesh now that I've gone ahead and ordered one. Might have to make some steel dust:)

Looks like Saturday will be focused on knivemaking and tools. what could be better?

Sunday will probably be devoted to helping the wife in her garden, perhaps taking her to breakfast or lunch and some house chores.

Gotta keep a balance.

Mark, belated happy birthday, ya old cuss! I hope your tests come out well for you, too. Sweaney, your wife must have a grand sense of humor, being married to you that long! Actually, you do have a great sense of humor yourself, and we really enjoy it here. Happy anniversary to both of you, rascal. I have been busy with honeydos, even on my usual day off Friday. Tomorrow I am working on another two knives going to Kentucky and getting up my supplies order to send out. I have some CPM420V scraps that I am going to grind into guthooks this weekend, hopefully. Y'all stay safe and have fun this weekend!
