Whew dawgies ! I'm glad it cooled off. Hopefully I'll get some shop time Saturday. Gonna be playing around with some new quenching oil to see how it performs on shallow hardening steels.

What ya'll doin?
 
Building a work bench and mounting my new Coote grinder,motor,step pullys, etc. Only have a 10x12 shop so i may make it with casters.
 
So far the plan is work today, work tommorrow, and probably work sunday :yawn: Maybe I'll find some time for the shop in there somewhere :rolleyes:
 
Took Friday off.......... Got a new grandson (born yesterday...6 lbs., 9 oz.).

Gonna go to Birmingham to visit with little "Robert" and his beautiful mom (my daughter).

Some say he looks like me..... What do you think?

I'm going floating this weekend. Lots of beer, lots of sunburn. :D

Working on the new press this weekend gotta fit it around a part time job though.

Its been one loooong week at the job, that would 8 dyas this week at least
 
Working on a special project this w/e. Still waiting on my small wheel attachment to finish an order. I'm doing some HTing so I can be outside and enjoy the somewhat cooler weather. MAN...... it was hotter then hell this past Wed. 101 degrees. :eek:

Well I've got a hammer-in to go to tomorrow. Other than that I won't even hazard a guess what else I will do this weekend. The only thing that came true from last weeks Friday prediction for the weekend was mowing the yard! :rolleyes:
 
I guess I'll continue working on stuff that doesn't seem to have an end to it. Temp's here in S. Central Texas shouldn't be that bad, maybe in the mid 90's. That's very refreshing for us. Robert, I do detect a likness! Congrats BTW!
 
I just came back from vacation Wednesday, Ocean Crappy wasn't as bad as I expected. I drank, ate good food, had relations and shot pool, not all in that order ;). Thursday, after getting up to go to work, I thought the day was just too nice, and decided to stay home and go fishing. Today when I came in, I found out that I had gotten a promotion at work. More work, but more money in my pocket.

But, I am still going to work OT tomorrow. I sure as hell don't want to be home when everyone rolls in tomorrow, in a bad mood that they have to come back from vacation. After working overtime tomorrow, I'm going to go and get my truck detailed, it smells like wet dog, courtesy of my pup. Drool and dog hair are easy enough to clean up, but the smell! Wow, its worse than when I'm in there :D!

have to get the OB knife out the shop before the 12th the marine is going over to the sand box

I have to agree! My pup was looking at my screen and took cover when he saw that picture. I can't get the rascal out from behind the couch with any coaching, even with snack luring. Seriously, congratulations on the new grandson! My better half and I are going to a company picnic this afternoon and also register for the door prizes. A couple of years ago we won a big gas BBQ grill. It was identical to the one we bought a week before. The lawn and everything else can wait, I can probably borrow a hay bailer. Today is my first day off of my usual 3 day weekend. Friday, we put the trash out and run our errands, mow, and putt around home and in the shop. IG, TOSS those road rockets, not ROAST them! I have to do some "organizing" in the shop today before bellying up to the grinder. A certain squaw thinks my shop is the place to put stuff that she thinks is in her way, or cluttering up our domain. Females, what do you do with them, anyhow? Squirrel season opens in another month. I need to get to the range this weekend and sight in my .17HMR. You gotta be prepared for the important things in life!
 
We are promoting one of our students to Black Belt tonight along with some other ranks. Some other high ranking Black belts will be in attendance...Should be a good time. As for the rest of the weekend..work. Local produce is going strong. Hope to get some shop time in..

Charity golf tournament Sunday. 4 man best ball. Since I occasionally get to be the boss, I have decided our team will all wear Kilts, a sash and long white socks like Gibson in Braveheart. We will also have a boom box playing bag pipe music as loud as it will play until the marshall tells us we have to turn it down. To top it off, I have arranged to have a lady bagpiper play for us when we tee off on the first tee. I think I will be laughing so hard I won't be able to hit the damn ball. I should have made a Sigian Duhb but didn't have time.
