Nice long w/e is here finally.

I'll be stayin home getting as much work done as possible and conserving gas.

What ya'll up to ?

Heading down to foxwoods to play some hold'em, then out to the cape for a few days on the beach, then back to salem for a bbq monday....wish me luck!

I'll be working on 4 more knives and cutting grass. Wont be long before I start reworking on the super skinner Mark :)

heading to my parents to do some dove hunting. Going to try and figure out how to hook up a new VFD controller and motor (what the hell does it need 11 wires for??? ;) )

I hope everyone has a safe one.

Well, we were going to drive on down to my parent's house in the Lake Of The Ozarks, but gas prices scared us off of that idea. Gonna stay home and work on some knives, and maybe do a little fishing.

But, I WILL be driving up to Chicago next weekend. A man's gotta have priorities, ya know! ;) :)

Finishing up a dagger this morning, and going out with sonny-boy for a viewing of Transporter 2.

Saturday morning will be filled with installing new garage doors. Afternoon: Visit to a knifemaker pal upstate w/bbq, possible damascus-pounding.

Sunday: Mowing grass and digging out spot for new retaining wall.

Lobsters, steamers, delicious NH corn, and Mrs. H's tater salad on Labor Day. :D

On your way to the Cape you should stop by a say Hello. You will be going thru New Bedford on your way. I am 5 minute ride off 195 east. ;)
Outside shop is still a diaster and cellar shop is damp. So don't expect much. HEHEHE!!! Only cold Buds. :D

Hey!
Thanks for the offer!

It my GF and I's anniversary, and I am trying to keep it as knife-free as possible considering how much knife talk and junk she puts up with around the house. Otherwise, I'd be there! I would love to learn how to make damascus and check things out in general! I will probably be in contact with you some upcoming weekend when i find a moment off my insane schedule.

Just stop in have a beer and leave. That way you will know where I live. HEHEHEHE!!!
Well we know who wears the pants in that relationship. HEHEHEHE!!!! :p

I start a week of vacation after today. I was going fishing/screwing around in the La Sal Mts in western Colorado/Eastern Utah, but may rethink that due to gas prices. It's 3.20/gal here and high $3.00 range in SW Colorado now and rumor has it that Durango will have $5.00 gas by Monday. This gas was refined from $40.00/bbl crude and these blood sucking ****ers are gougeing us like they had to pay $70.00/bbl.

I have 6 sheaths to make before a local gun and knife show here next (9th-11th) weekend.

Hopefully get some shop time tomorrow and put the final touches on a couple before sendin em off for HT. might go shootin. or i might not even get out of bed.... :D

I've been on vacation this week. Went dove hunting yesterday. Couldn't hit squat. They were flying good but they're as fast as a speeding bullet. Real tough target. Working on knives most of the week. Finishing up two for a magazine article. Heading to the Pa. mountains today for some dirttime. Have a good w/e ;)

Thank God for the weekend so I don't have to drive anywhere!

Yesterday wore me out. I put in over 10 hours at work and then went to a buddy's house and helped gut the kitchen. Got home about 3:00 this morning. So now its just knives and whatever else I can manage to get into around here. Cut another one out this morning (that makes 5 blanks sitting there now), got to get the grinder going. Might do some shootin too.
Have a good one everybody :)

Yesterday took grandkids to school and picked them up, ran errands, banked, etc., Then went squirrel hunting. I only saw one, the weather was too hot by the time I was able to get there about 2:30 in the afternoon. Today, wife and I went to a big flea market/antique steam engine/tractor display, and a gun show at Colchester and Argyle Lake, Ill. Tomorrow, it's in the shop and doing some knife work in the morning. In the afternoon a work buddy is bring his .22 mag rifle here for me to mount a scope on it. Then, we are going to the range to sight it in. I'm taking along my .17HMR and show him what shooting walnuts at 100 meters is like. Then, I am going to line up some peas and shoot them at 100 meters. That's right, vegetable peas at 100 meters. I also have a basket of apples to blow up at the range. You line them up at 100 meters and make instant applesauce with the .17 . Life is good, except for gas prices.

Hey!!! You Ole Injun, you should come hunting those treerats in my backyard. One of my dogs almost got one yesterday. The butternut tree in the yard is loaded with nuts ( I not in it) and treerats. Had a least 4 of those rats running around yesterday. If I start shotting them I'll mail them to you. HEHEHEHE!! Oh Great Redskin Hunter. :D :D

IG, you probably can't hit those squackers, and they are stealing all your nuts! Tree nuts, that is. Yep, I would like to be in your backyard shooting those tree rats. You need all the protection you can get!

You got that right.
