Yesterday took grandkids to school and picked them up, ran errands, banked, etc., Then went squirrel hunting. I only saw one, the weather was too hot by the time I was able to get there about 2:30 in the afternoon. Today, wife and I went to a big flea market/antique steam engine/tractor display, and a gun show at Colchester and Argyle Lake, Ill. Tomorrow, it's in the shop and doing some knife work in the morning. In the afternoon a work buddy is bring his .22 mag rifle here for me to mount a scope on it. Then, we are going to the range to sight it in. I'm taking along my .17HMR and show him what shooting walnuts at 100 meters is like. Then, I am going to line up some peas and shoot them at 100 meters. That's right, vegetable peas at 100 meters. I also have a basket of apples to blow up at the range. You line them up at 100 meters and make instant applesauce with the .17 . Life is good, except for gas prices.
