Ahh, another week down the turlet.

I'll be getting my crap together for the Trackrock hammer-in.

What ya'll doin?

well, I'll be working on another sheath and a small SideKick and starting a few more knives.....as usual, knives, knives, knives.....
Oh yeah, and I may have to cut the grass one last time :)

Work today, last day of fulltime on this job since school starts next week. Saturday, gonna help the neighbors pour some concrete. Don't think any of us really know what we're doin, should be fun  Sunday we're havin a little horeshow and cookout to finish up the year for the 4H club, lot of work for that but its always a good time. I really have to figure out how to cram some knife work into all of that too.

Have a good one everybody :D

Have 8 knives on the bench fitting bolsters to right now. Up early in the morning and pick-up two friends and we are on the ways to the Spirit of Steel show to see whats happening. Hope to stay for the cutting competion and then the long drive home. Sunday the lawn care and I know we will still be cutting it in November down here. Mike

I'm going to see if I can't locate a 56c frame motor to put on the horizontal grinder. I got a lot of blade-rubbin' to do but hopefully I'll get tiem to fire up the forge.

Working on a double-batch of tappers. :D

Might get in a ride on my new bike, but it is supposed to rain all weekend. :(

Dang Mark, not much to pick on in that post, well nothing I want to "touch" anyway.

Rainy weather here, I'm holding off on the roof repair. Maybe some forge time. That is if I don't get distracted. Oh yeah and some grill time.

Shishkabobs sound good.

Knives and a few honey do's for me. I might even clean up the shop if I really get excited.

They are installing the power feed table today. I should get it delivered later next week.

I am taking my GF out to dinner tonight.

Tomorrow we are having a BBQ and Texas hold'em tournament at our place, and sunday we are taking my parents out to dinner.

Inbetween all that, I will be continuing to play on the new KMG. My prior belt wobble is slowly going away with the advent of a few strips of tape and the tightening of the bearing the idler was rolling on. Its so minute now that it is no longer a problem.

I will also be finishing up the first knife off the KMG. I had ground the initialbevels on my old machine and am now finishing it up. Nice damascus, 1/4" complex ss/copper mosaic pins, and bolsterless scales made of some sweet ironwood. This one is big and hefty.....

Compared to a small fixed blade:

Well I'll be playing with Fourier and Z- transforms all weekend (oh, the joy of being back in school!), learning LabView so I can set up an experiment I need to do, recovering from a horrendous cold (again, the joy of being back in school and around all of those kids who come to their classes sick!), packing orders to ship, and sneaking in a little shop time to grind on some knives I've had forged out for a few weeks...

:)

Mowing the lawn and fixing the shower faucet will start things off. Then I've got to glue up a handle and shape it. Do a little hand rubbing on one that's nearly done and finally try my hand at my first Kydex project.

MY wife's trying to get me to take her to the Inkslinger's Ball in Hollywood which is strange as while I have an armband, we're really not part the Tatoo & Piercing crowd. She wants to go people watching. Strange.

I think there will be beer involved at some point as well.

by the time I'd climb up that ladder and back down agian I know I'd be all pooped out  :D

Was gonna replace the gutters but it is raining in Canuckistan too.
Sadly, there is a lot of work that needs to be done indoors too. Ah well...

Daughter's soccer game tomorrow AM, then I think I'll go buy Fever Pitch and make the whole family put our Red Sox hats on and watch. Sunday I'm hoping to work on my knife for a 10th Mountain soldier, as well as an order I just got today.
