Spending time with the family as much as possible this w/e. I'll be trying to sneek in a little knife related stuff :)

What you guys doing?

Morning Mark,
I never realized how early the "Friday" post hits the Board (it has become an "it'll be there thread").Quite a bit of calling, bids, planning, research etc. going on here. With a new building going up for more shop space there will only be 12 hours of blade work going on here per day instead of the standard 20 hrs.I sure wish I was kidding.I know most of you know what I'm talking about!!Hope everyone has a Grrreaaat Safe (Higgy) Weekend!!

Taking the day off from my job to pull all the loose ends together for my first "show" tomorrow. Not a knife show, just a craft fair at a Revolutionary War Battle reinactment. It's the first time showing to the public and I'm a little nervous.( I posted pics of some of the knives last week.)
Wish me luck.

You'll do fine Mike! :)

It is about time friday rolled around. I just gotta get through this work day!

I took some steel to the local metal place to get some BUSK blanks cut out (never had that done before). Got to see their new laser-cutter in action -- it actually shoots out liquid nitrogen at the same time as the laser, so the steel doesn't get ruined at the cut. SWEEEEETTTTT.

just being away form work will be good enough for me.

OH Yeah and some...

On the way home from work today, I am dropping the Wife off at her Daughter's house. From there, the Daughter and my Wife are leaving for Florida, and will be gone for over a FRIGGIN WEEK! :D

Time to go the the Hustler club tonight!

Just put in an order at ellis refractory....enough materials to make a blower forge at the HI to try my hand at cable damascus in the future as well as make a smaller forge and venturi burner...

Also putting in an oder for supplies for xmas gifts. Making a few carving sets for relatives....

Probably wont get much shop time this weekend, but I have to get going on a Nov. 15th "scavenger hunt" KITH....need to scrounge up some scraps for scales and anneal a file for the blade....

Other than that, I have my first sole authorship folder in the works....some knives to send out for sheaths from Paul Long, and we are looking at houses in NH....busy busy....

I've got satan's mailbox fired up to heat treat two D2 blades. I've got some grinding to do. I hope to deer hunt later today. Have a good w/e
Scott

Just gave me an idea.....did you, or can you use a mailbox for a forge body???? Seems like a good size and length....

I like Sweany's idea! I am picking up some clay to line my two rivet forges today, and hopefully get them lined and cured before cold weather. My better half has a doc appointment at 12:15, so yours truely is the cabbie. This afternoon is going to be work on forge time, and hopefully some shop time. Tomorrow is wifey day, go to another autum small town festival probably, and then it's back into the shop. Sunday is squirrel sniping day, period. I hear my rifle calling to me every day, but I gotta work to eat, too.

I hear Ya!!!! I just hope Mother Nature gets it all out of her system so next weekend will be great for the HI. :D

Just overhauled a magneto at work, nothing else goin' on so i took off at lunchtime. Hangin out here with the little lady. Standing by for orders.

I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Hopefully between tonight and early Saturday, I can finish a piece I've been working on this week. From there it's head to the local gun shop to pick up my new (to me) Benelli M1Super90 :)

Then it's spend the rest of the day with the wife and perhaps go buy a new bed.

Sunday should be some fun as I'm supposed to meet a bunch of guys from the USN at the range for a little shootin, then all of us (and a few more) are going to one of the guy's house for a Meet & Greet/ show & tell with lots of BBQ and beer :)

It'll be busy, but should be a great weekend.

Im going to finish up my Elk hunt tomorrow and try to find that Sneaky Bull. Will start on a new batch of knives. Need to start preparing my yard for winter.
