Took today and Monday off and the family is headed up to a cabin up in Blairsville. No knife talk this weekend, I promise, I think. Should be nice to get away and see some family and friends. Everyone have a good one.

I'm going to go looking for ducks tomorrow morning, but doubt I'll find too many. Other than that, work on a bunch of blades that gotta be done. :o :)

putting up a CRIMAS tree :) Always knife talk Wit!!

Getting a few orders ready for mail.......

Hey Brian- you're missing an H, an S, and a T ;). BTW- congrats on the baby girl in advance.
I've got surgery today... what a waste of a day:grumpy:
Good news is that tomorrow I'll be awake enough to start forging my pointy object of unknown design!

My son's girl and my lady are going Xmas shopping tomorrow. :D :D So I will not have to worry about taking care of Helen and I can devote all my attention on getting some blades completed and heat treated.:D :D

working on the last order. Probably make a big pot of Chile.

and I"M NOT GOING TO THE MALL.
HI, my name is Mike and I haven't been to a MALL in ten years. :) :)

I'll be working on my new forge, complete with blower(Indian George's design), probably shovel some snow and grind a hunter for ringing rearend's (repeat customer..woohoo!) and grind a fillet knife with hidden tang.Maybe pu the christmas tree. sounds busy but my wife is working all weekend (once again woohoo!). Enjoy.

peter, Crimas is a carolina thing, you wouldn't get it... prayin for ya 'bout the surgery. yeah i don't do malls either. last time i went to one was prolly 6-sumthin months ago, and that was to go to a knife store, and was the first time in several yrs. no malls for me neither. tomorrow i'm goin with a bunch of people from my church up to charlotte to volunteer with operation christmas child for the day. it was a tough choice between that and the SCAKM event in columbia, but i had to choose the more lasting value over knife stuff. ya'll hav a good 'un.

I thought the new politically correct holiday title was "Ramahaniquanimas".

that it is. there's nothin PC about Crimas, it's more hated by the libs than Christmas, cuz it's the southern version(Carolina version) and the carolinas def aren't PC. well SC anyway...theres some strange people up in NC... :D

Here at home the news last night was talking of renaming it to "THE HOLIDAY TREE".It kinda loses something in the translation.I for one won't be giving in.Heck! I'm Canadian and still refuse to call a Pickeral the "proper" name Wall... Wall..... Wall... Walleye. There i've said it. MERRY HOLIDAY everybody. See, it's just all wrong.

Knifemakers are exempt from being PC....You going to tell someone who makes sharp....pointy things how to be....Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Anyway I'll be trying to get some shop time in....Chesapeake Knife Show next Sunday.

Hey, I'm back! Thanks for the prayers! I'm gonna add the final coating of ITC-100 once I can think straight, crutch around properly, and regain some of my motor skills...

One day I'll figure out Crimas- as long as it's not one of those overly politically correct terms, I'm fine with it...

This sucks... I've just been informed that I won't be forging tomorrow... damn.

My wife just got back from a vacation week in Ireland. We'll mess around for a while  . After that, I might go to IG's and screw up his plans for completing blades and heat treating :D .
