A friend recently gave me his crkt m4 02 to sharpen and fix it up a bit

I've never dealt with this kind of assist before it's looks like a coat hanger that was bent back to give it spring

So if I take just the very front screw that holds the blade on if I take it off will the blade come off for cleaning (in pics the left most screw)

Will it go back on? Pics below

It's actually this one it's dirffernt in several ways

Basic torsion bar, easily removed and replaced. Should be a t6 set screw holding it in place. From the looks of it you can back out the set screw and slide the torsion bar in and out with the knife fully assembled. Pivot screw should be t8 or t10 and yes, the only thing joining the blade to the handle.

The differences are mostly cosmetic they both use the same assist mechanism and disassembly should be very similar.
