Probably more appropriate for the GBU but, as they were all Traditional Forum frequenters, I am posting here. There was a for sale item in the Exchange, Traditional Knives, that I had posted an ' I Will Tale It'. I then had to go back and retract my offer to buy as I had missed the check/mo only part and due to farm activities was unable to comply. As it turned out there were three regulars here that sent me a PM saying they would take care of it and work it out later. One actually went ahead and paid for the item. Work it out later he told me. Where else would you get this kind of support, friendship, trust, etc. This person does not even know me! This struck me as being totally off the charts in the realm of awesomeness!

What a group of guys and gals!!!

Great story and thanks for sharing with us...................and kudos to that person. In a day when most of what we hear goes the other way this is totally refreshing.

The people that frequent this forum are some of the best...props to whomever this member is, and he offered to help another outstanding person. :)

This sort of thing happens so often here. It truly is a little family-like atmosphere in Traditionals. The kindness, thoughtfulness and decency is far out of proportion to anything I've seen on any other Forum of any type. When you' e been here awhile you realize it happens quite often. Helping one another out, working together and even to the point of gifts you would never expect - common occurences here.

Knife content and a very thoughtful gift from a member here just last week... A beautiful Vic Farmer in Alox from jone :)

Another cherished and very special and surprise gift from a member who has become a friend over the past year, jon_slider. It is my favorite evening companion - a fantastic steak knife and beer cap slayer extraordinaire. :)

This gorgeous chestnut Peanut from fot0 - another complete surprise and a treasured EDC that's rarely out of reach.

There are other such instances, I could go on and on. The point is this is the best forum on the 'net, bar none. :)

Yep, super generous folks here in traditionals. I've seen it time and time again and in the world we live in, it just instills in you not to completely lose faith in humanity and strangers in general. There's still good folks in the world but only the "best" carry traditional pocketknives!

I was going to PM you Brad and ask the same thing, but then I had seen it sold. Great to hear others were looking out for you, one of our great members.

Kris

Some of the best folks I'll probably never meet!

Great testimony to the type of folks on here. It is the main reason I don't even venture into other forums. Thank you for sharing.

That behavior is, as unbelievable as it sounds, common of this forum. This is a collection of the most sterling people that I would be proud to call family under any circumstances. That alone makes this the greatest place on the 'net.

Well said... I spend ALOT of time here on the forum and learn something new every day. I feel like I know many of you here in a way. It gets to the point where you know their favorite EDC's, hobbies, etc. Every day starts and ends on BF for me (yes I'm retired, so I have an excuse!).

Great story and you're right - this is a great place! Too many good deeds here to count.

This is exactly why I love the subforum. No place else on the net would random people just help you out with financing something just because. Full trust and honesty across the board. I sure do love you guys :D

Well Brad you are that same kind of person:thumbup:

When you and I first spoke (knives of course) the conversation ran over forty minutes. If it wasn't for the fact that Nancy sent me for milk at the grocery store I'm sure the conversation would have lasted much longer;):D

Again this makes me so glad I found and am now part of this traditional forum. I too was the recipient of a very precious gift from a member here and like jackknife said above, it feels like I'm among family.

Linus

Since I started here I have seen nothing but kindness and generosity from fellow forum members. One thing I always remind myself is that it's a two way street and everyone has to chip in to make it work. Long live the traditionals forum!
