I have this Buck/Mayo for all of 3 days now. Have been carrying it pretty much exclusively. I like it, it locks up solid as hell, it is made as good as can be made for a prod. folder. On a par with my Sebbie. Not as stoudt mind you but built with as close of tolerance as I have seen on any folder. The reason I say this is that much of the time no matter how good a prod. knife is when you cycle a blade you might feel the tiniest bit of movement between the blade and the pivot. Almost looseness/slop if you will. This knife and my Sebbie and my SOCOM have none of that. All my other liner locks and most of my lock backs have it. Minute but there.

Now this B/M after just touching it up on a gray med. stone and then a bit finer brown stone and then a glass stone will cut my arm hair in half. I mean in half and leave the rest of the hair on the arm. No burr that I can see or feel or that razor like edge you can get. This is what I call a nice hard edge. I always thought that my SOCOM was sharp and it is but this little B/M is in a class of its own.

What a classy knife. The thing is just about perfect for an edc knife. IT is light weight, locks up like a vault, fit and finish is beyond reproach. I am telling ya I look at my Sebbie and I look at this and then I find pic of a Mayo and man this thing just freakin shines. Buck hit a home run with this knife. Now if they make one with a 4" blade or maybe 4.5" blade I don't think I would own another folder if I could own one of those. Keepem sharp

I know exactly what you mean! I totally LOVE my Buck/Mayo TNT! Excellent knife. This is a knife that is on my won't trade list. I totally love it. It is so comfy in the hand, and is sharp as heck.

Which Buck/Mayo are you talking about?

Mr. Mayo has more than a few collabs with Buck.
I bought a HILO and a Pilot just to check out the Chinese Bucks and find them to be plenty serviceable for an import. Plenty sharp OOB, but after a minute or two on the ultra-fine Sharpmaker stones it was as you say: "Friggin' sharp!!!" I like the edge 440c gives if done right. A real attention getter if you get careless.:o

Wish I could find that doggone Pilot though. It seems to have gone for a walk a week ago and not come back.:(

I believe he is talking about the TNT. If I am wrong, please correct me.

By cutting arm hair in half, do you mean it's catching the hair above skin level and cutting it off? Or are you splitting the hair in half lengthwise?

Why talk about splitting hairs here! Na I can cut off the hair on my arm as it stands and leave the other half attached to the dermal. Now the deal is that this knife is sharp. No exxageration here but plain ass grabby hair flining sharp. My arm lives in fear of the TNT.:barf: keepem sharp
