all the sorts of things that X-files saw fit to reveal over seasons, Fringe seemed to want to do in a single episode. character relationships seem a bit nebulous, but not mysteriously so.
 
I was not knocked out by the premiere episode. Oh, it had it's moments....Still, I kept saying to myself, "They wouldn't let her DO that!" I mean, the lead lady is supposed to be in the FBI....

Somehow X-files always made whatever weirdness Mulder and Scully were involved in believable.

The best thing so far is the nutty (as in committed...) scientist.
 
The nutty scientist is the best thing going for that show. The first episode was better than the second but this series is just trying a little too hard and too quickly in some ways. Hopefully it gets better but it is entertaining.
 
The opening scenes of the premier episode grabbed a hold of me. I am going to be watching this show this fall for sure. The crazy scientist does steal the show.
 
Not as good as x-files... The show reminds me of Xfiles meets CSI meets Numbers.
...But certainly better than the X-files movie.
