Anyone keeping up with Fringe? Little spin to Star Trek and Cloverfield (creator of the show is the one who made Cloverfield and the new Star Trek movie). The show has its ups and downs, but is still the only show I watch on TV.

Spoilers

It looks like Dr Bishop is the one that wrote that book, it also looks like Olivia does have psychic powers. Also, the end, when the mad scientist escaped, looks like something out of Cloverfield etc. The shot of the scene, not what happened. I was just waiting for the baby monster to walk between the buildings. This Watcher guy, Man in Black, whatever he is, was in the beginning too, the newsstand owner ran into him.

I missed a couple episodes, but I distinctly remember Olivia harping on her boss about being teleported. Have to wait until April for a new episode, but I'll be there.

It has it's moments.... I especially like the lunatic scientist, who can go from serious discussion to "Let's have ice cream!" in the blink of an eye...

In a somewhat similar vein; if you haven't been watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles, it's well worth a look. When this started, I thought it would be just a more-of-the-same Terminator-based shoot-em-up. (did I use enough hyphens?)

They hired some serious writers, however.... The storyline has plenty of clever twists and gotcha moments, and exploration of the time-travel "paradox" problems as well.
Besides, hot broads, violence, and guns...

I like Fringe so far. I think that last nights was the best episode yet. I also think that the creators of the series learned from some of the mistakes they made in stringing along fans of lost for so long, and have decided to set the hook early rather than later.

Hail Walter. What a cool show. Well acted and scripted without the boring law and order formula. This helps fill the void that Scully and company left many years ago.
Thumbs up to Sarah Conner..... I was surprised it was not cheesy at all, don't miss it.
Sanctuary has really got my interest as well, anyone else?

Burn Notice and Dexter. Only catching up with the reruns now...

Sometimes Terminator is great, other times, not so much. Are these discount store Terminators though? They can be stopped pretty easily. The first T800 was crushed in a hydraulic press, the T1000 and T800 were melted in the second one, and the T850 (BAD MOVIE) was destroyed in the nuclear attack.

In one episode, one of the Terminators was destroyed by being thrown onto a transformer.

I've been watching Fringe. It reminds me of the X Files. It's well cast, acted and written. Walter is great.

Just introduced recently here in my country.

It's "so so" for me. J.J. Abrams is too "kinetic" for me (remember "Alias"?) but he does have a way of keeping plot lines interesting.

Regarding Anna Torv, to me she's "a Cate Blanchett that makes sense" :D Really, had they been related, she's would be like the more intriguing younger sister!

Fringe, Supernatural, 24 and Leverage are all programmed in my DVR. Fringe started out good and became great.

I agree, great show! and Walter is the man!:D

GREAT SHOW? GREAT SHOW?!?!?!? I HOPE YOURE JOKING.

Had you asked me this question during this weeks episode I would have agreed whole heartedly. However when the anouncement came on that no more new episode will air until April?!?!?

Thats a long wait... I'm not sure why a show thats really getting into its own, or rather the network, would choose to have it go away for 6-7 weeks... I want answers.

I just started watching this show tonight. We bought a season pass from iTunes. We watched 4, and are into the 5th one. GREAT show!!

I stumbled apon Fringe when checking out Hulu a while back. A very interesting series.

One thing I've noticed about American shows:
  • Olivia and Walter are both from Australia. It seems that every second show has an Australian in it these days.
  • I normally see two or more HBO characters from one show in another show,it's like they hire them in pairs :D

Two things I watch on Tee Vee: Fringe, and Dollhouse. And Fox will probably cancel Dollhouse.

I watched Leverage for the first time yesterday. Ended up watching four hours of it so I knew what was going on in the season finale . Pretty good show.

Kinda like Oceans 11 (the new one, not the classic) without the filler.

Just found out Fringe's next season will be filmed here in Vancouver. Taking advantage of the scenery and canadian dollar. Hopefully I'll see Walter and buy him a coffee.
