Not sure, exactly, how much tweaking you "Think" it needs, my friend. That knife is gorgeous, and I don't even like the dyed burls, usually. :)

I'm with Danbo on this,,,LOL,,beautiful knife. I really really like the feathered damascus. I'm new to this part of the forum so if I ask a silly question, please understand and overlook my ignorance. Did you make the damascus as in heating, folding, hammering, then heating, folding and so on???..If you did make it, could I please ask you a couple of questions in a PM, I'm looking for a certain style blade.

Thanks for showing

God Bless

Thanks for the comments Danbo.
The tweaking I'm thinkin is that my spliter was too sharp and I didn't get as much crush effect as I was looking for.

Were it me, I would be very pleased with the steel, especially for your first. Very nice!

I can see what you mean on the crushing of the feather, though. I have been saying for some time that I need to make some feather pattern dies for my press. Question: How wide was the tip of your dies and what would you recommend for length & width on them? (I have an Uncle Al press.)

Shooter_250: Do you realize how dangerous it is to agree with Danbo? (Sorry Dan but I couldn't resist the temptation.:))

Very nice pattern Mike. Feather is my favorite.
I usually judge a feather pattern by how close the spine of the feather follows the center-line of the blade.
Nice blade profile as well.
Congrats.

Mike I think that is a nice looking feather if that is your first one your on fire
