FRN / Rit Dye?

Good afternoon everyone,

Just wondering if those of you that have used Rit to change the color of your FRN have ever tried to change BLACK to a lighter color?

Just didn't know if a black could be dyed to a light blue?

Unfortunately it only works if you go darker than the original color.

Just got me thinking, is there any way to bleach a dark color FRN handle?

Id be concerned about bleaching, as what ever product you use could possibly be acidic, and with a pinned construction knife, it probably isnt a good idea.

Very true, also may make the FRN more brittle... but who knows? That's why I was asking.

I just ordered a Stretch and have to have black scales because I wanted VG-10. I just wish there were more options. Every knife I like seems to be black.
