Frog Lube on Axe handles??

Anyone ever try Froglube on a axe handle?

I've used it on my axe heads and it works great for preventing rust.

I've never used it on handles. I've used the product on knife scales, wood and micarta, and it really makes the scales look great.

Any experience?

I love the stuff but don't think I would want to use it on the handle. It gets slicker as it warms up so I would be afraid of it being too slick with the friction and heat of use.

I use it a lot on carbon blades and such as well as my firearms. The mint flavor also goes great with lamb.
