I've been using this stuff on my guns for a while. It's a plant based non-toxic lubricant that absorbs into the steel. You apply it by heating up the metal with a blow dryer, then brush the paste on which melts on contact and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then you wipe the excess off and it seems to last a long time.

I stopped using mineral oil due to the fact that it deteriorates and gets gunky over time.

I wondered about using it on knives, so I emailed their support. This is what they emailed back:

Yes, it's a fantastic knife lubricant. It's an anti-oxidant, so it prevents the blades from going dull due to oxidation.

Seems ideal to me. No worries about using it for food preparation since it's bio friendly. They even use it for lip balm in demonstrations. It has a nice light minty smell too.

Has anyone else experimented with Frog Lube on their blades? I've seen it demoed on guns and have always wondered how it'd work on a knife. I love the idea of it being food safe as I often use my edc folder for food.

I have been curious about this one as well especially because it is food safe since I like to cut up fruit with my knives. I would like to see someone testing this lube though I may just have to see for myself and buy some.

I'm looking at getting some froglube as well but I'm not sure if I should get the plain froglube or the paste. Any suggestions?
