Dear Mr Glesser and/or other Spyderco heavies
I have been Waving around a leading-brand multi-tool since 2004, together with a simple, compact Nichia LED flashlight. These two items are the totality of my EDC, wrapped up in a nice, discreet leather pouch. Its by no means the latest or greatest equipment, but it serves my purposes very well, and Im happy to have it.
The only significant drawback of the multi-tool is the lack of left-hand support when it comes to opening the blades! I can understand that it may be difficult to manufacture ambidextrous multi-tools in their traditional form, but with the advent of skeleton-type tools it seems like much more of a possibility. Its a nice concept a good blade, tough pliers and bit driver. All the essentials.
And this is where I would like to call upon Spyderco. I know for a fact that the said leading-brand manufacturer currently has no plans for making lefty-friendly tools. I also know that a big part of my attraction to Spyderco is the fully-ambidextrous, highly purposeful designs.
So, what do you say? Could it be time to fill an obvious gap? Id like to hear thoughts from Spyderco.
Regards from South Africa!
