  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

So I had a trip to go snowboarding and realized how close I was to Mecca (read Spyderco HQ)...

...clearly, I had to cut the boarding short by a day and go pay a visit and my respects. Approximately 9011 miles from my current home (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) I arrived at this amazing place, with as much time to stare, handle and admire any number of knives.

I realised a few things;

1) The Military is pretty darn huge (but it is still on my list)
2) The Sage 2 is more my preference than the Sage 4 (not what I expected but the Sage 2 opened like butter!)
3) The Superblue Stretch had to come home with me (very happy with this both my first Stretch and my first Superblue!)
4) I may just have to head back at some stage!!

(Apologies for the dreadful phone photos)

Nice! Good choice!

I live in Los Angeles, but my sister and her husband live in Golden. They are five to ten minutes from the factory. I go there every time I visit.

I live ten minutes from the HQ. :D

Next time I go on leave, I'm heading over there; I miss one handed folders and this great company :thumbup:

Thanks Guys!

Screwdriver and DeadFall27 you guys are very fortunate to be able to head over the the Spyderco HQ regularly - so often, I don't get chance to make comparisons by hand! Moreover, none of the staff blinked when I took my Caly 3.5 and Gayle Bradley out to make edge length and side-by-side comparisons. As I have said before in other threads my Caly 3.5's are the standard to beat and so far my stretch is running them close (if not equal).

Cheers all!

Ben

Glad you could see the greatness in person! Colorado is a great state that I will never move from.
