Pretty new to knives. Started out collecting a few Buck knives; the 110, 112, and Buck-Strider. After buying these there was nothing else in the Buck line that really appealed to me. Also it bugged me that they are having some of their knives made in Taiwan and not quite knowing when placing an internet order if the knife is made in the USA or Taiwan. I wanted to find a manufacturer that were making all of their knives in the US.

I began my search to find a new manufacturer to focus on. I've been hearing alot of good things about Swamp Rat knives. Seems to be a company that produces knives that borders on the production/custom edge.

Further research let me know about a new folder called the Rat Trap.

I immediately placed my order for one of the 100 Rat Traps.

Looks like a neat company. Love the name. Also have had rats as pets in the past.

Welcome, Gary!
I, too, am a Buck fan, but over the past year converted over from the Buck to the rat. Although, I must admit to recently picking up the Cabela's special edition 110.
The Swamp has some really nice blades, some really interesting characters, and outstanding customer service!
I have one of the LE folders on order, as of yesterday. I plan on it being my new EDC.

Yep, I just placed my order for the LE this afternoon during my lunch break. (10-15). I wonder when they ship out? (and yep, I've also got the Cabela's 110) I must admit the 110 has alot of character and a razor sharp blade. But time to collect some other knives. I think Swamp Rat is just what I'm looking for. I love the way they sell from their website, and not through dealers. Awesome prices! And interesting how they are connected through Busse, but totally seperate. And love the warranty. How can you go wrong their knives? I guess you can't. Sounds like my kinda people!

Gary,
Welcome to the Swamp, glad that you stopped by and thank you for your order.

We will be shipping the Rat Traps soon, and I'll update the forums when that happens.
