From EDC to wilderness?

Hey guys. I see a lot of EDC threads and even a regional EDC, but no recent kits based on being deep in the woods. So, where do you live, what do you carry daily, and what do you take when you escape to the trees? :p

I live in South Carolina, in the US of course. My EDC is usually a Paramilitary 2, Leatherman Wave in belt pouch, and a Barlow or SAK Huntsman. In the woods, I've gravitated to a Becker BK16/Condor Tavian with a Mora bushcraft force in the pack as backup. For my environment I'm good with carrying either a 14" Tramontina trail machete or a modded CS Pipe Hawk. In all it's pretty easy to pack light in my area. I look forward to hearing what you guys like bringing along.

Edc Manix 2 XL, woods carry is usually BK9 and a smaller knife, changes often. My favourite knife I own is the BHK Bushcrafter so that usually gets the nod, sometimes F1, and sometimes the Izula II. This all changes if I bring my GB small forest axe, this is why people don't list their woods carry, list is long and varied.

Haha, but that's the appeal, to see everything that gets put on the "permanent" list.

The last few times I went into the woods it was kind of spur of the moment and I didn't have my woods gear with me, so I only had my EDC. A 4" CRKT M16, and a spydercard in my wallet. I also grabbed a couple lighters and I had my paracord bracelet and watchband that I always wear. And my Droid smartphone which actually had signal. My dad and I were riding the 4wheelers once and we got off the beaten path a ways and got somewhat lost for a bit. Right after we found an old logging road to follow out I got a phone call in an area I thought I wouldn't get reception. It also has GPS but we were only lost for about 5 minuets. As soon as we realized we didn't know exactly where we were we stopped in a clearing and scouted a bit keeping each other and the quads in sight. We knew the area pretty well and we knew the are was littered with old roads and probably weren't more than a couple miles from one that was actually in use.

I'm planing on putting together a couple small daypacks to keep in my trucks in case I'm out with some people and we decide to head out at the last minute and I can't go home and grab my stuff. I'm also going to keep my camelback stocked so if I can run home I can just check it quick and make a quick stop and a convenience store for some jerky and snacks and I'll be GTG.

When I do get to plan ahead it'll vary with the circumstances. I have a drop-leg rig made up for my BK2 with a leatherman wave piggybacked that rides on my pistol belt with a .357 magnum. One hike I just had a glock field knife lashed to the pack plus my EDC. I just got a Ka-Bar hevy warthog that will be finding it's way into the mix.

For camping I love my BK9 or cold steel kukri machete. Both have kydex now but belt carry isn't practical so I'm going to add shoulder straps so I can hang them on the back of my chair and throw it over my shoulder to go grab some firewood or whatever.

North GA & WV here. I've always got a a small 21 with me because I can carry it anywhere and nobody gets nervous when I take it out to use it. Heading out into the woods I'll add to the carry with a FB, size depends on what I'm doing and how long I'll be gone. I've got several of Allen Davis' smaller FBs and a 4.5" bushcrafter from Twin Blades in Statesboro.

My Maxped Proteus that I carry in the car goes walking with me and it has an Izula molle clipped to the back, so any cutting tasks I'm likely to run into are well covered.
