Some odd stuff came out of the Schrade closure. Here are a couple of knives, one likely Mirando-related, and one I'm not sure of; both ultimately from Italy. I also posted them on Bernie Levine's forum; see link at bottom for what he said.

My one-person thread continues:o ! But I'll continue talking to myself; I don't mind, I just love the subject;) !
They told me in high school never to get into clerical work, and here's a prime example of why. I'm too disorganized!
So I found this certificate for the subject Mirando knife above that I completely forgot came with it! And this leads to the question; was there a separate Mirando collection in the factory?

Anyone who's been there, if you remember anything about it, please let me know,

My best advice is to contact LT632ret. He not only had been there, but says he personally donated more than a fiew pieces to the factory collection. Perhaps he even has pictures of those knives on the boards in the factory, and knows a bit about the maker.

Waynorth,
You may be the only poster but speaking for myself (and maybe 124 others), I'm finding it very interesting. I never knew of the Mirando knives myself until now.
PS- Nice grabs on the whittlers! 7 secs.??! cuttin' it close!
