Great job. This is the first time I have seen the work of an Icelandic knifemaker. I spent almost 3 years in your beautiful country back in the early 90's. I was in Keflavik. As you can guess in the military. Good luck in Belgium. Take Care, Bless

Thanks to you all for a good words for my works, And Chuck you stay on the Keflavik base , 1998 It was a knifemaker there from Alaska I thin his name was Jaque ore somthing ,we work to gether on a big viking festival and forging a knife blades, I have not see him after that and the Base is not longer in Iceland
Thanks Joivill

Jovill,

Yes I was at Keflavik. I was there from January 1994 to July 1996. I had set up a forge and grinder at the auto hobby shop on base. They had a great anvil and I worked on my forging and Heat Treating. I made quite a few knives while I was there. I was not aware the base was moved. I guess I am kind of out of the loop now that I am retired. Again, good luck with your knife making adventures. If I can help at all feel free to contact me, either PM or email. my email is chuckATwoodchuckforgeDOTcom. Just replace the AT and DOT and you have the address.

Thanks for that
Yes sure I sell some of them, the " Icelandic Hunting Knife" is popular for a present to the hunters here in iceland. All the blade are in the same size but diffrent form on the handle, and diffrent matrial like rendeer horn , whale tooth and some woods. I use the 4110 steel fore the blades
Thanks
Joivill
