Well, I've caught the bug. I love pocket knives, always have. My grandfather was a whittler and always had a knife in his pocket. And I love things that are "traditional" and "old-timey." And to find these knives being made to such high quality standards is such a treat. So in a few short weeks, I've made myself a small collection. All are so well constructed and really just amazing.

Top to bottom:

#42 Missouri Trader in American Chestnut - picnic cheese cutter, a great folding table knife as well. That chestnut!
#15 Huckleberry Crown Lifter in Ebony - party knife for poppin tops
#55 Houndstooth Pattern Northwoods Burnside Jack - I just couldnt resist the blue. Amazing. And the blade is super thick and sturdy.
#66 Calf Roper Slim in Cocobolo - I cant explain how classy this knife is. The slim profile and the slight serpentine curve--wow! Really, tux pocket material. Especially in the #8 shell cordovan pocket slip I made for it.
#22 Magnum in Bocote wood - awesome little watch pocket knife, with a more manly personality than either of those flanking it
#09 Esquire in Stag - I needed a stag knife, and it was cheaper to get a small one (ha!). And boy, do I love this little esquire pattern, wow!!

Yeah, I'm poor now. But my pocket is rich.

cheers, knife people.

I'll take these. PM sent for payment instructions. ;)

Seriously, very nice group sendcakeplease. Excellent choices with impressive variety. You have me wanting an Esquire now as yours is a stunner. The Burnside Jack is one of my favorite Northwoods and that one is exceptional.

Excellent selection thus far, but the chestnut 42, the blue camel burnside, and the stag esquire, are really stunners. Looks like you've caught the fever. That's right, you know you want all the patterns...:)

That was great.^^^^^:)

I like the #42 best in your collection. but they are all very nice. The Bug is very hard to shake when the Knives are top notch.

I can't even pick my favorite out of those. The #15 is one of my favorite patterns, and #9 is on my shopping list. But that #66 with the cocobolo and pinched bolsters... wheh!

Awesome collection. I've been debating between 06, 09 or a 22! Your photos helped me better understand the size difference. Thanks for posting.

This hobby is a slippery slope, looks like your treating like a zip line at an amusement park! :D Congratulations on the great collection. As your collection continues to grow i hope you will post the new additions.

I love reading enthusitic post almost as much as I do "thank you" post. Each just makes me feel good for some reason I haven't pin pointed yet.

That is a great start and I haven't seen the Burnside next to a 15 before. It's good to see that comparison. Thanks for sharing. So, what's next on the list?:D

Oh man I'm a little jealous! I just got a 15 crown lifter in knifbrite that I absolutely love. It just feels so great in hand.

What a great collection you have started! Your story sounds VERY similar to mine; I started out with traditionals this past spring, and my collection continues to multiply like rabbits. Its very neat to see where newer enthusiasts start and then gravitate towards. We share similar tastes in wood for sure! I just got a 15 crown lifter in a very similar "black and tan" ebony and love it!
Anyway, once again, just a beautiful collection. I would suggest that a #85 pattern would be a great addition to these.
Thanks for sharing!

I don't like the bolster shape on the #85s, but who knows. I'm putting the brakes on myself for now. :) Thanks for all the good words! I definitely prefer the wood scales - I've never liked the bone feel or look. But it is a traditional staple, so likely I'll have one before too long...
