It seems my FBM has had an interesting life. Through tracing feedbacks and sale threads, I've managed to piece some of it's past together.

This particular FBM started out as a standard Micarta handled Urban Grey knife.

It was then sold to a fellow here who decided to remove the bevels, strip the coating, straighten the spine, convert to drop point, and do a few other mods.

I recieved it in pretty rough condition, but I knew it still had plenty of life in it.

After some advice from you guys, a lot of questions answered by Garth, and great customer service from Amy, I got her back, and she's back to beautiful.

Everythings has been cleaned up, a new set of black micarta mags, and a satin finish with a convex edge have been added to sweeten the deal.

Thanks to Garth, Amy, and everyone else at Busse who are amazing!

A #27!!! ...I MUST have it!! ;):D

Nice Shop customized FBM!:thumbup: Oh yeah, there's plenty of life left in that one. Beat her well!!

Wow, that one looks great! I think she looks way better than original, congrats.

Very Cool! Garth is awesome at fixing mods gone south. He's done it for me as well. That FBM looks fantastic!

That looks like it'll slice brick!!!

Excellent blade sir...

Yep, these knives are like expensive quality cars, there's hardly ever a point where you can say it's just not worth it anymore to restore or renovate them.

It's become very beautiful again, great job!

That's a fine looking blade there mate. Looks like a SAR10, where's the balance point?

That's not an FBM is it? Looks like Custom Shop FNO (fusion natural outlaw) with a 10" blade! Anyway you look at it, it's one of a kind...good stuff .

I agree! :D

dude! that should be a show " extreme blade makeover" ;)

Haha, how about Pimp My Knife? We can get a rapper to host it, and do ridiculous things to knives that make so sense! I want to see some serrations on the HANDLE!

Out of curiosity, how much does a new set of micartas cost?

This would be a question better aimed at Garth. My estimate was for the whole makeover, not just the rehandling. Send him an email

Right in front of the choil about where the edge starts. I'm going to have to measure the blade to see how thin it is exactly, but I know it's one anorexic mistress...at least until you get to the mags! :p
