It's looking great so far! I've been meaning to start making some basic knives.. well, my work hours have been reduced, maybe I should start soon.

Looks good so far! Is that oak you're using for the handles?

Thanks. The oak handles finished and review of performance coming.

Yum. At no time during the test did I resharpen the knife. It would not shave hair at the end, but would still shave paper. I am very happy with these. Specs. 4.75" blade, 4.5" handle, 1/8" O-1, 1.5" blade height, convex ground. My new favorite bush crafter. Hope everyone enjoyed this.

Excellent job on the knife! I really liked watching the project come together too. Very cool.

Excellent job. I love the design and the wood. The tip looks mean as hell as well!

Keep it up!

Thanks for all the comments Fellas. It has been a great learning experience.
UC, I just finished reclaiming a leaf spring. I'll put a thread up on that one soon. 1/4" 5160 5" kephart.

Very nice work! The handle looks quite comfortable. If I had some more advanced grinding tools to put an edge on a hard steel, I'd have to try it out myself.
