Aloha ALL,
Been really busy as of late, but I will catch up with you guys soon.
I will be in Hell during the Holidays...unless i call in sick and enjoy the time with my family as it should be instead of wondering if some inmate is gonna go psycho in the unit and then have to work another shift. Yay.
I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to you all, and mahalo MUCH for bringing Boker back into the "mainstream" of the knife world. Back in the late 80's, I would see a lot of full page Boker ads, and one I remember showed Bud Nealy's Tanto FB, and another, their Stellar folder...
However, I would read little, if anything about their production pieces in the magazines. Now though, that has definitely changed, and that's a good thing. I like it when a company comes from "behind" and their products are talked about highly, or showed interest in on forums.
A fine example of this is my friend who runs CRKT. When the steel change occurred in his production models, it was as if they were going down the drain. Not so...and I am thankful that Mr. Rod Bremmer "hung in there" because he made models like the Corkum First Strike and the Nealy Pesh Kabz affordable for users like me.
Going further back, look at Spyderco. I thought Sal's knives were friggin' uglier than heck...until I used my buddy's SE Police model, and I was sold! True, they still "design in the dark" as Sal said on some models, but Sal hung in there, and is now held in very high regard in the knife industry, and I thank God he invented the pocket clip!
Ahhhhh, Boker. NOW they are mentioned in magazines, on the forums everywhere, youtube...they are getting some recognition I feel, they deserve. Right on.
ANYWAY...lemme just send out a BIG MAHALO to those of you that made this happen for Boker. I think it safe to assume I speak for ALL Boker folks, from the USA and Germany! And, well...from voggy Hilo, like the cr*ppy card below says:
God bless and Happy Holidays everyone!
