Went by the Buck factory this afternoon to pick up a celebratory knife or two (new job after January's layoffs), and found the 372 Muskrat on the "endangered" list.
Well, actually, on the "scheduled for extinction" list.
Naturally, this follows hot on the heels of my wistful hoping that Buck would bring the Muskrat back home and revive the 313.
So, in the forlorn hope of preserving the species, I picked out a prime specimen and brought it home, with the objective of establishing a breeding pair of Muskrats.
Hopefully the genetic divergence between the Greater North American Black-Clad Buck Muskrat and the derivative Lesser Asian Wood-Sided Buck Muskrat is not so great that the union results in a sterile mule.
One can only pray.
